Is there any part of the Republican agenda that is actually popular?

I find that with even the most well-meaning conservatives, there is a great deal of “othering” when it comes to blacks, gays, Muslims, immigrants and other people who aren’t just like them. By which I mean that these people are thought of and referred to as “outsiders”. Fine in small, non-threatening numbers. But suddenly a cause for concern if the start to form larger groups or assert their rights.

It is usually couched in terms like “Cultural Identity” and stuff like that.

Unfortunately, not entirely a problem contained on the right.
