I’m going to assume that you haven’t interacted with anyone under the age of 25 in the last decade or so. Because he looks like a perfectly normal kid to me. Wearing sunglasses backwards has been common for a while now, in case that’s what you were pointing out.
ETA: and there’s nothing douchebaggery about wearing a cap backwards either
Sasha’s the one breaking out the wallet in the picture.
You would think that a guy who’s so cool that he wears his sunglasses on the back of the head would at least pay for a couple of burgers.
Even the President’s daughter can’t get away from White Privilege…
Except the sons are lacking that certain savoir faire that Cesare had. But their ascendency is still young! There may be time for Don Jr. to kill a couple of princes, get into trouble and require a few Papal bulls, er, Presidential pardons. Maybe Ivanka can get pregnant and have Don Sr. declare it his own child or something. The possibilities are limitless.
I agree with the idea that he doesn’t think of women as having value other than sexiness. Somehow he’s made the Madonna/whore complex worse, but only having the “whore” part.
Plus he’s also doing it for narcissistic purposes. If his progeny is hot, it reflects well on him in his mind.
I’m not going to use the T***l word even in the Pit, but I assume he’s trying for tongue-in-cheek ironic Fakery.
I certainly hope so. I know there are hominids as stupid as he’s pretending to be, but if any of them are capable of typing on a computer keyboard they must be bizarre mutants like from a sci-fi movie.
As usual, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The executive that Trump put in charge of overseeing the building of Trump Tower in the 80s, the building where he lives and works and which has now become a secondary White House, was a woman by the name of Barbara Res, one of three high-level female executives working for Trump at the time who were profiled in a magazine called Savvy Woman in 1989. Here’s an article entitled “Donald Trump, a champion of women? His female employees think so.” You might want to read it and educated yourself.
So, an article from over 25 years ago is supposed to represent his current views? Would that work if we cited a Clinton or Obama article from that far back?
No snark intended. I ask as a legitimate attempt to fight my ignorance.
The article is from November of 2015 and includes references to some of Trump’s female executives from 25 years ago. To me this is a positive. It shows he has a long history of entrusting women with demanding and responsible positions in his companies. There appears never to have been a glass ceiling in any of Trump’s companies. He continues this practice even now as evinced by his having promoted a woman (Kellyanne Conway) to serve as his campaign manager. To say that Trump sees nothing of value in women other than their sex appeal is simply not true and it never has been.
Fair enough, but even you will admit that, when he’s speaking about women, he has a tendency to refer to them in more…basic (I guess. I don’t want to say sexist or misogynistic) terms.
Certainly! Trump is very much prone to macho locker room type behavior around other guys. And when it comes out in the open it makes him look pretty bad. But as another poster related recently, if women knew five percent of what men were thinking they’d never stop slapping us. Trump just says crude things sometimes, often in an apparent attempt at male camaraderie, and it makes him look sexist. But his record is one of promoting women, recognizing their talent and ability, and entrusting them with major undertakings in a field where they are probably the only woman in the meeting room or on the construction site.
