I was wondering if there was any method out there of permanently removing body hair. Because I hate mine. I can’t stand it and I think I am hypersensitive because I am constantly pulling it on accident. No one else I know says their chest hair and such bothers them, it is just me. I am sick of shaving it. Is there any method to make it go away forever? Not just for a month or so, but forever? Thanks.
Electrolosis will get rid of it forever.
However, it’s painful and expensive. For an entire chest you would have to go back A LOT.
Basically, the technican sticks an electric needle in your pore (where the hair comes out) and shocks the base of the hair folicle. The hair dies and falls out. As I’m sure you can imagine, doing each hair of a particularly hairy chest would take a while. Usually, technicians charge an hourly rate, broken down into 10 or 15 minute blocks. You probably wouldn’t find a technican that would do your entire chest in one session - a) it would take way to long and, b) you would probably pass out after about 1/2 an hour. It’s REALLY not comfortable.
Another alternative is waxing. After repeatedly ripping the hair folicles out by the root, they will weaken and grow back much slower. This will take a number of waxing sessions, however. Waxing is also kinda uncomfortable.
There is also laser treatment. I’m not sure how painful that method is, but it’s also quite expensive, AFAIK.
A friend of mine had success by putting a hair removal cream on her pits, and then falling asleep in the sun, on her back, with her hands behind her head. She couldn’t actually lower her arms for about 10 days, but she doesn’t grow hair anymore. (Note: I am NOT suggesting this! :))
Anyhow, there are options. They are just kind of pricey, and they hurt.

I’ve seen home electrolysis kits on sale, not very cheap but you could vow to do a square inch a day. I don’t know how effective they are though.
