The Bad Astronomer and CalMeacham should, Anthracite is top ten on my list of most well-educated, insightful, and otherwise lovely people on this board. If current trends continue, I see Captain Amazing, Fenris, Eutychus and Guinastasia easily fitting that. And of course tomndebb, matt_mcl and Collounsbury.
Really, the question is more who won’t be thought of as a great mind. You read enough here and you learn so bleeding much.
Well Lordy, everybody knows that this board as a whole will go down in history due to the inadvertant-yet-critical role we had in starting WW III. School-children will be required to memorize long lists of all the posters with over 5000 posts. So get typing!

EVE seems to have a nice Mother Earth quality that seems to be the tie that binds.
But there are quite a few people who have a thorough grasp of different fields…I am often amazed at the intelligence and thought that goes into some threads. If there is ever a serious study on creating artificial intelligence, they should use the minds that plug into this board!
But for sheer humor…noone so far has made me laugh so hard as jjim…to paraphase the thread,
