Viacom (which is CBS, Comedy Central, Nick, etc) is currently suing Google/Youtube for…ONE BILLION DOLLARS. Their position is that YouTube’s entire business model is copyright infringement, whereas Google/YouTube’s position is they are covered under the DMCA, which puts the burden on the copyright holder to issue takedown notices. I’m sure it’s a constant struggle.
