I like having cool bibs-and-bobs around in my place. I do not have a lot of them (not a museum filled with things) but still…some interesting items.
I have wanted a piece of Aerogel (the lightest solid ever made). I tried buying some once but the website was just deceptive enough that I ended up getting a container of random sized small Aerogel pebbles (I was able to return for a refund).
Below is a pic of something like I am looking for. It need not be that big but I want a cube or rectangle or some “normal” geometric shaped bit of Aerogel. I have looked and it is weirdly difficult to find and be sure that is what you are getting. The pebbles are easy to find.
Does anyone know where I (Joe Public) can buy something like shown below? (Assume price is no object…it is but I’d rather see what is possible even if out of my price range.)
