Is there such a thing as "morbidly frustrating?"

Like morbid curiosity? This being rural Kentucky, I came out to my car this morning to discover that someone had sprayed racial epithets on the cars of several people of color living on our street (the street’s about 50% non-white).

The problem - if you could call it that - is we got a heavy rain overnight and the paint washed off quite a bit. You could still make out the faded, drippy words on everyone else’s car, but I wash and wax frequently, so the paint washed away almost completely on mine. The entire time I’m wiping the last of the paint off, I’m trying to make out what they wrote - is that an N? That looks like a Z, what could that mean? It sucks that stuff like this happens, but what did it say? Weird feeling but it bugged me.

The “edgy” teens at the middle and high school here have started using wolfsangel instead of swastika. Kinda looks like a Z or N.

Gives them an extra layer of plausible deniability (“I just saw it in a video game chat, had no idea it was a Nazi symbol”)

Interesting. Today I learned.

I haven’t seen that symbol before, but the election season is yet young around here.

“Wolfsangel” huh? The image accompanying the Wiki link in Mighty Mouse’s post looks more like the ancient Germanic rune for a tube man like you’d see in front of a tire store that’s running a sale.

I’m feeling pretty morbidly frustrated about the local housing market. In my county, which has 120k people, there are currently a grand total of 6 non-trailer single family homes for sale that are a. at least 1500 square feet and b. no more than $400,000, plus an additional 5 multi-family homes that fit those 2 criteria.
