Well, the restaurant Ruby Tuesday is named after a song that’s nearly 50 years old (and is about a free spirit woman) and up until recently has been doing well* as a national chain, though personally I’ve never eaten at one.

• • I did read an article a few weeks ago that they’re closing 95 underperforming restaurants nationwide.

I live in Elmont, home of Belmont, the race track. There is a steak bar and grill called Trotter’s. There is no interpretation I can think of that’s good.

Especially since Belmont does not and never has hosted harness races.

Similarly, the shopping center on the grounds of Roosevelt Raceway, the former harness track further out on Long Island, has a sign showing a horse pulling a harness sulky…but has a jockey riding him.
