Is this an OK email to send to my team lead at work or should I revise it?

Generally, there are way more claims that normal and the systems in all States are being stressed. Some of them are much worse than others and I have no idea about NJ specifically. The good news is that when you do get paid, you’ll get back paid for every week for which you are entitled money.

I don’t check the mail for a couple of days, today I get a mail with my benefit. In a week I get this. Wow.

This is the best thing that has happened to my in a while, even if I did not get unemployment. I got a little money in the bank

It is settled, I am going to pack everything I can into a rental SUV and move back to my hometown in Virginia, live with my parents for a couple of months. Then decide if I want to get an apartment there, or come back here.

I am so happy. This month, I don’t have to do ANYTHING except feed myself and my cat and look for a job. And end of month, go back to spend some time with my parents, which I usually do for a week at Christmas. And which I had thought about doing anyway, moving there permantely, although I thought I would be working remotely doing the job I was doing until last week. But I would have never done it, I hate change, I would have stayed here and renewed my lease.

If there was ever a time to lose a job, it is this. I get the news just about the time I have paid my rent on the last month on my apartment in NJ . Lease is up end of August. And my brothers here were planning to go down for a visit end of this month anyway. I don’t even have to pay movers, other than the SUV rental cost.

Even if I were to get a great job offer here in the next couple of weeks, and I have many contacts and references here and I have sent out applications, I would not take it.

Will your unemployment continue if you’re not in-state or available for work?

Mike_Mabes - I’m sorry to hear about your job. Do make sure about the benefits transfer before you officially make the move to VA.

I got something in the mail a couple of days ago which I thought was an approval but now I am not so sure. It listed the benefit amount and said I qualifed based on money made over the past couple of years. But it did not say they have talked to HR nor when I would get the first check. And there were no instuctions, like in RI a few years ago I had to go to a website and list jobs I had applied for. I think the requirement was 5 a week.
