Is This Cell Phone (Samsung T-Mobile) A Lemon?

I am talking about this T-Mobile phone.

My SO was due for a new upgrade so he picked that phone in January. Small, light and had a few nice features.
Three weeks ago, it died.
Bad battery? Bad phone? Who knows.
So we go to T-Mobile outlet and they were quite nice, had a new one sent to us and we got it last week.
Today, the damned thing died again. Just turns on long enough to say goodbye.

Is this phone cursed?

I will go back to T-Mobile tomorrow to turn it back in, but wanted to know if anyone else has had a problem with that model?

This site has a bunch of reviews of the phone (by users). They’re kind of all over the place, but a few do mention battery issues. However, looking at the dates of the reviews, those are back from late 2006 early 2007, so YMMV.
