Creepy, not sexy. Like something out of A Clockwork Orange. But I’ve rarely judged someone as sexy by a photo alone. Attractive, perhaps, but sexy involves a lot more than looks.

The pic works for me, but maybe not as intended. She looks like a predator masquerading as a bimbo, which takes an extraordinary amount of brainpower to pull off–and I find that level of brainpower highly attractive. In fact, the pic could almost be (a much MUCH younger) Lou Reed in drag.

No. It’s like satire of a sexy picture. The hair is overdone, the eyes are overly made up, the eyes fall in shadow of the hair, the head is tilted so far that the eyes are straining to look up. And she looks like she’s about to become unhinged. This picture says to me, “C’mon over here, honey. I’m going to bite your dick off.”

I think that’s what they were going for.

I think you’re right. It probably wasn’t intended to be sexy in the ordinary way, but a beautiful woman looking slightly odd and scary. Not every photo has to be straightforwardly sexy.

Not one bit, but maybe that’s just me. I don’t like her hair or her eye makeup. Other than that, I think she’d be considered “attractive,” but I don’t see anything particularly “sexy” about this woman or this photo.

Yeah, but…it isn’t her hair, nor is it really intended to look like her hair :). When the B-52s were just starting out Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson would style and re-style their own hair into those, well, B-52s. But apparently doing so was not only time-consuming as hell, but was pretty damn damaging to their actual hair. So it was wigs from there on out and they weren’t necessarily designed to look natural, just visually striking.
