Lovely luka, I’m a student, I don’t have a ticket because I’m a poor student.
I’ve also got a pounding headache…Alabama 3 have been sound-checking “Woke up this morning” (Soprano’s theme) for the last 1/2 hour…at about 5 million decibels.
The windows are rattling in their frames and the floor is vibrating so hard I can feel it through the chair.
I need a drink
Frankd6, Mundy (Irish) is also playing the main stage, and most of the DJs in the dance tent are Irish too.
We got DiV and A3 because they’re cheap and they need the money…
Yeah, I’d absolutely do it. The best party I ever attended I knew no one there and had no affiliation with anyone. My friend who also crashed the aparty ended up passing outand the host of the party came around asking people who was with her - I had to fess up and he looked at me kindof weird and asked “who are you here with?” I smiled really big and said…her (the passed out one) He just laughed it off and offered to get her a cab but also paid for my cab ride back to the party. He was pretty cool.
If their sound check is giving you a headache, you more than deserve to go. It would be very uncomfortable for you to sit at home through the whole thing with your windows rattling.
UPDATE.
I went.
No problems with security at all, I was even able to pop back into my flat to use the loo, take some painkillers (cramps suck) and eat some toast!
It’s now 4pm the day after.
I have been awake for 4 hours, got home at 5:30am, after a pretty amazing night.
Alabama 3 were fantastic, very country, but they finished their set with a nice Hindi number. Skipped Death in Vegas apart from Ayesha and Dirge.
Spent most of the night in the dance tent, wore a cheongsam, flat shoes and a cardigan, which worked out well, as it was pretty cold, and my feet don’t hurt today.
Big fry up this morning, off to study for my exams (did I mention I have one on Wednesday?) really glad I went.
