I like it…my mother seems to think it will cause to much “negative reaction”.
^Doesn’t get any more mundane than that thread.^

To me it is…but I also have several cops in my family…so, I guess my opinion shouldn’t really count on this one.
Although…my sister is a cop and she is constantly making fun of herself. Whenever someone asks her what she does for a living, her response is “I’m a piggy”. Maybe it’s just funny when an actual cop says it…I dunno.
I’m not offended, but then, I’m not a cop.
My sister-in-law is one, however. And would she be offended? Well, if she would be, I wouldn’t have just ordered one for her.
You have a perfect, constitutionally protected right to wear that shirt, but if you’re going to go around poking bears for fun, don’t act all surprised if you get bitten.
How about a T shirt picture of a young woman with the word “manipulating cunt” on a card, or a T shirt picture of a black man with the word “lazy nigger” on a card. You’d be a laff riot!
What’s the matter, START? The man keeping you down? Is the world set against you?
Fight the power, START.
and know that every time I see your screen name, I hear Public Enemy.
Aging hippie checking in –
Offensive? Dunno. Provoctive? Absolutely.
Offensive? I’m sure most cops are thicker skinned than that. Provocative? Hardly. Childish and unfunny? Yup.
Just don’t forget to take it off if a cop is pulling you over…
I find it somewhat disconcerting. No, I find it disconcerting.
That said, I think down at the Pike Place Market threre’s a postcard you can get that features Rachel, the lifesize, lifelike bronze piggy bank being ridden by a cop. The difference here is that it’s a real cop (not bronze or a guy in a cop costume) and he was raising money for some charity, if I recall correctly. The money that people put into Rachel goes to preserving the Market itself.
I meant to say…
Listen to your mother for a change…
There’s nothing wrong with it.
The only cop I know is my uncle, and he’s an ass hole. So I love it.
I don’t know if I find it offensive as much as I find it snide and gratuitously nasty. My automatic association of anyone wearing that shirt would be (a) they think they’re being cool and “in-your-face”, or (b) they think they’re being rebellious and political. Neither would be correct.
Just pray you don’t get mugged wearing that shirt.
Why pay money to buy trouble?

Diplay yo’ Big Johnson for all to see!!
Oops!
I meant display.
Sorry. :o
And make sure you have the “Bad Cop, No Donut” bumper sticker placed boldly.
Bonus points if you get someone to videotape the cops beating your ass.
I think you would be exceptionally foolish to wear this. Unless you’re a serving officer yourself.
To be honest I think the shirt is trying too hard. I’d have a negative first impression of someone wearing that shirt just because it’s so lame.
heh.
“ok, son, we’ll get right on that paperwork! Don’t you worry!”
I’d also hate to be wearing this shirt if I got pulled over for speeding and the cop was not in a good mood.
Overall, I’d have to agree that the shirt is trying to hard. My initial reaction of that shirt is some ‘rebel’ kid wearing that shirt who really has no reason to feel cops are pigs.
