I don’t know how I made it to almost 42 years old without realizing that this was an actual song. I knew the chorus from my childhood. My older brother and his best friend used to sing it all the time, but I always thought that it was just some nonsense that they’d made up.
For my contribution, who can forget “Jesse’s Girl” by Rick Springfield? Or “Sunglasses At Night” by Corey Hart?
As an aside: The very first concert I ever attended was Rick Springfield, and Corey Hart opened the show.
