My wife and her parents brought back a couple of quarts of Brunswick stew from a local fair today, and I opened one up. By the time I was done, I had eaten an entire quart for lunch.
Everyone seemed surprised that I ate an entire quart - is that a lot of stew??
If it was good brunswick stew, then it’s worth whatever the consequences may be. Course, I’m glad I won’t be there when you do suffer the consequences.
Well, it was good stew! It was poured right from the big black kettle into the mason jar, with a lot of meat (chicken).
So far, the consequences have been minimal. Dinner is approaching; I’m not too hungry, but could still manage to eat something. Actually the thought of eating more stew sounds pretty good!
After I finished the first jar, I asked my wife why she only brought back two quarts. She just rolled her eyes.
Thanks for the breakdown, and the cool link. Plugging in 4 servings in the calculator gives 1280 calories and 56 grams of fat. That’s actually not as bad as I feared. Sad to say, it’s on par with some of my other typical meals. I tend to eat 50% or more of my daily calories at one sitting several times a week.

Not that Burger King is necessarily health food, but you didn’t do too bad. Just don’t have a quart of stew *every *day.
