Mr. Shahak was very critical of the treatment of Palestinians by those he perceived to be fundamentalists of the Jewish faith. If you could cite why his perceived attitudes of extremists should be applied unilaterally to all practitioners of the faith, I’d appreciate it.
There are Christian sects which practice snake-handling based on a few passages of the bible being taken a bit too literally. Shall make assumptions about all Christians based on this? Mr. Shahak thought fundamentalists of his own faith took things too literally and openly criticized them [and provided fodder for anti-Semites in the process].

If this is a discussion and not a pathetic troll, then cough up something more (not by way of Shahak.) Do you not agree that statements this controversial should be given supporting evidence from more than one source?

Let me explain.
I think Shahak writes the truth, but I also thinks he exaggerate. (I haven’t read the whole book).
I must also say (as I’ve said earlier) that I think his description fits on the more nationalistic and extremistic parts of jews and Israelis. Perhaps most where orthodoxy- and zionistic ideology meets. The problem is that this is a very effective group with a lot of power.
I think jews in genral should take what Shahak writes serious and question them selves and especially their culture.

As I said early, I don’t think Shahak description fits on all jews, far from it.
But a lot of jews especially in Israel have some explenation to do. Their behavior seem to have no limit.
