Is Tracey Morgan Funny or Sad Now?

What an odd comment. I wasn’t “giving him a chance” or cutting him slack because he’s disabled. I find the very notion personally abhorrent.

ETA: To try to clarify, I mean that the idea that disabled people need extra slack in order to be good at their jobs is an insult to the disabled.

I think Tracy’s monologue from when he hosted SNL after his recovery is instructive.

He’s always been nuts. His standup has always been fairly bizarre stream-of-consciousness stuff. But everyone around him has always commented that he is a total professional, always showing up on time and ready to work (except he often doesn’t memorize his lines very well.)
