Is Trump confused?

I’m waiting for someone to interview the writer of that episode so he can say he based it on the Carroll case.

Trump is mad at Harris for (checks notes) buying spices, and something in his rant caught my eye;

The reazon he keeps bringing up Elizabeth Warren is because he thinks that when people say Harris is Indian he thinks they mean Native American, isn’t it?

Translation: “Please bring Biden back. I’m flailing here!”

A Trump-hating spice shop? WTF is this senile old fuck rambling on about now?

No ketchup.

As Walz could explain; ‘spice shop’ somewhere where they more than than salt and pepper.

Is it a Penzey’s? They’re pretty anti-Trump and anti-MAGA.

That was my first thought too. Their website even has a page About Republicans.

And yes, it was Penzey’s.

LOL, well then, for once, he wasn’t confused!

She did appear at a Penzey’s. Their spices, for the record, kick ass. Also, the owner is willing to give up business from Republicans who don’t like him.
(Seriously, their spices are really good.)

I know. I have a lot of them, and I get a corresponding amount of their promotional material by email. Which always includes anti-Trump/MAGA sentiment!

There’s an evil little devil who sits on my shoulder, exhorting me to send something of Penzey’s to my parents. They were big fans… before. I doubt they still are, but I’d have a ready-made excuse to go, “¯_(ツ)_/¯”

The holidays are coming.

I just saw this article on the NYT website - As Debate Looms, Trump Is Now the One Facing Questions About Age and Capacity. (Gift link so not paywalled)

At 78, former President Donald J. Trump exhibits more energy and speaks with more volume than President Biden does at 81, but he, too, has mixed up names, confused facts and stumbled over his points. Mr. Trump’s rambling speeches, sometimes incoherent statements and extreme outbursts have raised questions about his own cognitive health and, according to polls, stimulated doubts among a majority of voters.

I wonder if the criticism they’ve faced has had an impact on editorial decisions.

I thought you were a big Penzey’s guy, but maybe I’m misremembering. And, yes, Penzey’s is great, and I don’t find their product at all overpriced for the quality. I shop there, their related-by-family store Spice House, and Burlap and Barrel for all my quality spice needs. That Penzeys is particularly vocal politically is a bonus! (Though I didn’t know that about them until maybe four or five years back.)

Holy Moly! $5.95 for 9 oz of Garam Masala? That’s the opposite of over-priced.

There is some evidence (1) that people over the age of 60 who were hospitalized for COVID-19 have a significantly higher incidence of dementia than those over 60 who have not been treated for the disease.

It seems to me that if Trump’s increased dementia is due to his bout of COVID-19, there’s a certain amount of poetic justice at play.

(1) I saw the story on my newsfeed and can’t find it now so (sorry) no cite.

Call it Karma(la)…

Trump says Mark Zuckerberg called him to say he was voting for him because Democrats tried to have him killed.

Zuck says the call never happened and he has no plans to endorse anyone or say how he intends to vote.

I am; been a customer since 1992. But I never heard anything about political leanings or Trump’s tirade about them until this thread.

Well, that makes everything clear.

Oh no! Their mayonnaise sales will plummet!
