In other news: Sane-washing continues apace as major outlets decline to cover comments from September 13 about how Trump is going to take over the Giant Faucet that “they” now control, and thus stop Canada from letting Canadian water flow “aimlessly into the Pacific.” And Trump will make sure the California forests are watered with this Giant Faucet (Canadian) water, so that there will never again be a fire in California.

This has long been on the list of things that Trumps is obsessed with but actually knows jack shit about: windmills, sharks, batteries, and California’s water. He made the same rant as president during a California wildfire. The fact that rivers flow into the ocean bugs the crap out of him.

Now, if you take as cynical a look at things as I do, you have to realize that this was not a mistake, or ever a coincidence. It had to have been done on purpose.
For what purpose, you might ask? Why to drive home the idea that “It’s OK when a Republican does it,” of course. Hypocrisy is only something the Dems can do. By definition, when MAGA does it, it is only revealing the real truth, and the truth isn’t a bad thing.
You know, there really should be some way to take advantage of this, but, sadly, there isn’t. MAGA will continue this practice, while shouting, “The Dems are trying to brainwash your children. Remove them from Public Schools so they can remain true.”
Yes, of course. Even while trying to sell this idea that Democratic remarks caused both Crooks and Routh to do what they did, Trump continues to call Harris “Comrade Kamala.” And of course he knows that “Communist” is a trigger for many of his armed fans.
We will see how the media treats this wildly hypocritical initiative by the Republicans (using vicious, triggering language about Democrats while complaining if Democrats utter even the mildest criticisms of Republicans). Some media figures from the “centrist” venues will fall for it, of course. They always do.
I’m always reminded of the Hanson brothers’ first appearance on ice in the movie *Slap Shot * where they immediately begin egregiously mugging their opponents (teammate: “these guys are a fucking disgrace!”). Then, when gently nudged by an opponent shortly thereafter, drop the gloves and commence the fisticuffs.
Don’t forget about the time he complained that California wasn’t raking their forests like they do in Finland. AIUI, the Finns were mystified about that one.
As far as California rivers flowing to the sea, I’m surprised he hasn’t ranted about the recent removal of four dams on the Klamath River.
I’m surprised he hasn’t noticed the rivers in Hawaii. If he’s elected, he promises to build a pipeline to bring all of that wasted water to California!
