Next he’ll be calling for her to publicly release her Marvel card.
Oddly, that is a song by a outwardly gay group.
It’s possible that this was posted here already but just in case:
" On Sunday, an open letter to the former president, signed by more than 230 medical professionals, noted that he was “displaying alarming characteristics of declining acuity.”
“I kept us out of war… I defeated ISIS, but I inherited that one. By the way, I think it is very important. I call it the weave. As long as you end up in the right location at the end. We have never been so close to World War III”
Interviewer: How will you reduce government spending?
Trump: When I first sat down, a general came into my office and he said, ‘Sir, it’s nice to meet you, would you please sign this?’ I said, ‘What is it?’ It’s a contract for a new Air Force One, which is actually a contract for two planes, not one, two Boeing 747s, And I said, ‘How much is it?’ $5.7 billion. That’s a hell of an expensive plane, but there’s reasons for that. I said, nope, I’m not signing it. Who negotiated it? Barack Hussein Obama. I said I’m not signing it. Why? Because there’s a lot of fat. But we should have a new Air Force One. When we see these planes from Saudi Arabia, brand new, and ours is, like, 32 years old, and it’s a very different plane, it’s a much smaller plane, the whole thing. The United States should have the best plane, I will tell you.
Interviewer: Should Google be broken up?
Trump: Virginia cleaned up its voter rolls and got rid of thousands and thousands of bad votes
Mercedes-Benz… in South Carolina. They build everything in Germany and they assemble it here… They don’t build cars. They take them out of a box and assemble them. Could have our child do it.
Interviewer: Have you talked to Putin since leaving office?
Trump: If I did it is a smart thing.
They said, they are a third world nation. We are a developing nation too. Take a look at Detroit. We are a developing nation.
Strange add in your link: 100% made in the USA speciality coffee? And that is supposed to be a good thing?
Moderating:
Let’s refrain from making personal attacks. You’ve been around long enough to know this is never acceptable.
It amazes me that the GOP still hasn’t figured out what that song is about.
Yeah, I was trying to illustrate that they were using the same tactic as Trump, but expressed it terribly. Sorry about that.
Good to see people catching onto this - Trump frequently talks about things from decades ago as if they were happening right now. He thinks California is still having rolling blackouts a la 2001. He thinks Detroit today looks like it did in Robocop. He says most people have no idea what an app is, and calls Tivo, a brand name that hasn’t been relevant in nearly 20 years, “the greatest invention of all time”. He never makes any pop culture references more recent than Silence of the Lambs and compares himself to Elvis and Elton John.
Can the October Surprise be the media finally acknowledging that he’s lost his marbles?
Hopefully!
On today’s show, Nicole Wallace played the entire 38 minutes in a window just to highlight how fucked up it was:
Well, at least Trump didn’t start singing karaoke.
I can’t see it getting saner from here.
That would have been awesome.
Maybe a computer test where you have to click on certain shapes but not others when they’re flashed in different locations on the screen. I’ve taken similar tests for job screenings and as a clinical trial volunteer.
IIRC, they are typically maybe a minute or two long and the time between images decreases. To add “cognitive stamina” to the mix, let’s see Trump do this for 10 minutes.
How about standing behind a lectern and answering unexpected questions with cogent answers for a half hour? That test sounds like a real bastard!
Yeah it’s gonna be a long three weeks. But we’ve so long ago passed the point that should have doomed any presidential campaign, I am not sure what trump could do, that would push the needle significantly…
I mean maybe drop trou and shit on the stage and then roll in it? But even then…
aside:
My niece had that played at her wedding as “their song” because she and husband had met at a YMCA. I had a hard time keeping a straight face.

Rather than canned music, he should have featured the vocal stylings of Laura Trump.
