And obviously, nobody is trying to tell him any different, no matter what they say otherwise. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to pushback, if there is any.
He may well be confused, or just plain stupid. Netanyahoo has gifted him a golden pager. And he accepted it.

Oh, come on. Water management, particularly for irrigation, has some pretty clear basics:
- collect water as much as possible in reservoirs;
- conserve it during the non-growing season;
- allocate it carefully for irrigation during the dry times of the main growing season.
No-where in there is “release billions of gallons of water during the winter so it won’t be available for irrigation during the dry growing season”.
And do it with an hour’s notice to the people who live downstream and will get flooded? Sure, that’s water management 101.
I think it was similar to the field guidance that Kim Jun Un goes around North Korea giving out. Of course Trump could not have expertise in all, or maybe any, of the technical areas he gives direction on. It’s a variation on “when you’re rich they think you really know.”
