Is Trump confused?

I think I see what you did there. Bravo.

I think bobot is the one who did it.

We’ll go with joint effort on that one.
(No “joint” funny business, now.)

Yeah, I was going to mention this example earlier and I forgot (uh oh, is that a sign??). I think the McConnell situation is telling. Now that was some scary “live on TV” incapacitation, much more severe than anything posted here from Trump. And it happened TWICE. What was the GOP reaction? “Nothing to see here.” Release a medical report a week later saying everything’s good. Bury it and move on.

I realize that Minority Leader is not the same thing as Presidential candidate, but we have seen over and over and over and over and over and over again that the GOP - both voters and pols - will excuse any and all behaviors and words emitting from Trump. Sure, there might be a few here and there that balk at certain moments, but they quickly fall back into line (e.g Graham) or are purged (e.g. Cheney, Kinzinger, etc.) and the train keeps on rolling.

All of this Trump mental deterioration talk will amount to absolutely diddly-squat, unless he collapses and dies or is rendered completely unable to speak for a significant period of time. Even then I’m not 100% sure they won’t prop him up and keep going a la “Weekend at Donnie’s.”

With the Indy and young votes- it isnt trying to get them to not vote for trump- sure, they won’t. But The Kremlin and the GOP is pushing hard the “both sides are the same” and “Biden is too old” crap, so that what I am worried about - is that the indy and youth voters either stay home or vote 3rd party. Exactly what happened in 2016.

Something I REALLY do not want to see anyway. .

Bored or maybe bombed out of their skulls.

I’m guessing a LOT of drinking (and drugging) goes on at the Trump rallies. After all, they have to quiet the part of their mind that says ‘this guy is not just confused, he’s crazy.’

I’ve sometimes described Trump ralles as being similar to Phish or Grateful Dead concerts, so this makes sense to me.

I’ve attended Grateful Dead concerts, and find what you write to be absolute rubbish and worse.

Yeah, not really seeing the comparison, other than maybe “what’s happening on stage continues to go on happening for longer than most people would consider reasonable, and often long periods of time pass with no coherent words being spoken”.

For Trump, you’ve got people who follow him around attending various rallies. It reminds me of Deadheads and whatever you call Phish fans who spent time following their favorite band around to attend their concerts.

They are talented though.

I guess if you’re talking about something like today’s Dead and Company, rather than the actual pre-1995 Grateful Dead, you could add that the crowd is mostly elderly white people. A significant difference is that most of the Deadheads will regain their capacity for rational thought once the drugs wear off.

Yeah, no similarities at all. I worked security at one, and attended one.

Roly poly?

I understood that reference.

It took me of thinking of the song to get it.

Yeah, please don’t ever again compare me to somebody who attends a Trump rally. The only thing I have in common with the MAGAts is the color of my skin.

I know, I know, appeal to authority but nonetheless, here’s another doctor who is willing to say Trump is showing obvious signs of dementia:

I doubt this is an opinion widely shared by most doctors. However, like me they do not spend much time with Trump. (Explains my very mediocre golf game.)
