The only kind of consistency I see here is that Trump only wants the right kind of immigrants.
And I mean, right shade of skin color and/or ethnic background.
With exceptions, as was clarified later. Essentially, there will be a brown paper bag taped to the application. You put your photo next to the bag, and the skin tone will determine your green card eligibility.
Skin tone may matter, but major will matter more. Reports are that Trump came up with this idea in response to tech billionaires expressing unhappiness about the GOP plans to deport everyone not born here—making it tough for said tech billionaires to staff their companies (and thus maintain their billions).
Sounds like someone just read the ten commandments for the first time in their life.
To be fair, I’m pretty sure he’s arguing that if you’ve read them you can’t argue with them as far as moral guidelines go.
And that’s the [disingenuous] argument you hear all the time from the fundies. That it’s a list of moral requirements that one can’t really argue with. Which might have some merit if it weren’t for:
-Thou shall have no gods before me
-Keep the Sabbath holy
-No graven images
I wonder how the fundies would explain those away.
Sometimes they advance that ‘no one can argue with these moral guidelines’ argument. But other times they just openly glory in their ability to impose their will (in this case, their religion) on others. Or openly glory in Owning the Libs, as with the Louisiana governor saying he “can’t wait to be sued:”

Hannity has said basically the same thing. This is all about lowering the expectations for the debate – Trump will lose because Biden is on some sort of speed…the same kind of drug he must have taken before the State of the Union.
And even if that’s true - and it’s not - then so what? If Biden is a good, competent President while on drugs, I see reelect him and then give him as much drugs as he wants.
Well, you got to make sure Biden is on the correct dosage. Look at Trump. Whatever dosage of drugs he is on is either too low or too high.
Fox recognizes when Trump starts to babble incoherently, so it quickly cuts back to the studio.
Rallies thousands in Philly? Maybe a few 1000s. I was looking at some posts that showed the ~10,000-seat arena fairly empty. The upper level was closed.
MAGAs claimed that if people were attending an event on the floor, the upper level had to be closed.
Cue pictures of a Biden-Obama-Fetterman event and Temple’s graduation ceremony with people on the floor and upper level.

Every experience I’ve had with someone hopped up on something did not engender confidence in their abilities. They couldn’t follow conversations, stay on topic, and often times couldn’t even sit still. Trump exhibits more signs of someone jacked up on something than Biden did even at his State of the Union address. I could understand and follow what Biden said while Trump goes off on odd tangets about battries, boats, and sharks.
We all know that. But the MAGA faithful have never, ever heard the phrase “every accusation is a confession.”
I genuinely wish the debate staff would drug-test both Biden and Trump before the debate. (And no, Donald, you can’t bring in a vial of urine. You have to pee in the cup right there.)
