Yeah that is arguably part of his cognitive decline. Whether it’s garbling “I am Christian” or just coming out and saying he’s not (which is absolutely not part of the plan)
I know that Trump won’t be able to literally become a dictator if he wins, but I’m extremely worried that not only is he desiring to do so, but he’s saying it out loud and people seem fine with it.
And this isn’t even a, “just on day one” BS comment either.
I don’t think there’s any reason that he couldn’t become a dictator on day one and beyond.
The foundations of our institutions have been destablized. I don’t think it would take much to totally destroy them. Particularly with the forcesplans the other side is equipped with.
But in terms of his ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the presidency BDTS is much more debilitating than any dementia he might have.
Look into what happened in Russia when Jeltsin took over. Look how utterly amateurish all of it seems. Coups are not streamlined affairs planned by competent government officials. They are, often bloody, messes planned by people trying to get the government officials out of the way. One cannot overstate how close the US democracy came to the edge at 1/6. There were all kinds of plans in place to keep Biden out of office. Fake electors, pressuring Pence not to certify the election, keeping the national guard out of the way.
Your ass was saved by Pence unexpectedly finding his spine. Not by any incompetence by the would be revolutionaries. They had their ducks in a row and were marching on the Capitol.
“Radical leftist dumb-o-crats blocked everything! Remember how I had that wonderful replacement for the failing Obamacare? Blocked! Remember my infrastructure plan? Blocked! Remember my puppies and kittens for orphans plan? Blocked! Remember my free corvettes for everyone plan? Blocked!”
