Mistuh Weinuw’s mawituw dawwiances should not detwact from his weputation as a hahd-wuwking and effective Congwessional Wepwesentative…
So Babs, you don’t think Weiner needs to pull out yet?
How’s that interview with Lina Wertmueller coming along?
I posted this in the other thread in MPIMS forum.
Weiner’s wife should announce that she’s going to run in his place in 2012. She’ll win by a landslide.
It is up to him. There may be no legal remedy against him. If the women are all of age, he is guilty of acting in poor taste and being stupid. He could go back to work Monday and nobody could do anything about it.
Very well, I shall welease Woderick!
I think if he keeps his head down and worse details don’t keep coming out he’ll survice. He won’t be any kind of national spokesperson for the Dems, but that doesn’t mean he can’t represent his district effectively. From what I’ve been reading his district still supports him. It’s NYC. They’ll probably shrug it off.
I hope hope the Dems have the nads to tell the republicans to STFU until they get rid of Vitter.
I can’t believe the lame defenses I’ve seen of Vitter on other sites. Prostitution isn’t as bad because {insert nonsense}
Fox News is reporting that police are talking to a 17-year-old Delaware girl who was followed on Twitter by Weiner.
This site claims to have circumstantial evidence that Weiner and a high school student “Ethel” (probably the Delaware girl) had an ongoing Twitter relationship.
Uhh, typically it not NONSENSE you insert…
If true, that is a problem. The age of consent in DE is 18.
If he sent her anything sexual in nature he’s done.
There’s no law against following a teenager on Twitter. There is also no allegation that he talked dirty to her, and Weiner’s office is denying that he said anything indecent to her. I know hope springs eternal, but that’s all this is - a wild, desperate hope that the Congressman might have somehow harmed a child. I’m sure it will be a bitter disappointment for the righties to find out that no children were harmed in any way.
There is no allegation that he did.
And given the accuracy of statements emanating from that office over the past week or so, it’s clear that this should be taken at face value.
One of Weiner’s messages to the girl was “I came back strong. Large. In charge. Tights and cape shit …” Though it certainly isn’t illegal, I think it can be questioned whether this is appropriate from a 46-year-old congressman to a 17-year-old high-school junior.
It will be interesting to see what other messages he sent. We may find they were no problem - but at this stage I think only a fool would presume that without examining the evidence.
I don’t give a shit what “righties” think, and I don’t know why you keep dragging them into these debates. Were talking about what this Weiner did, and it now appears that he was tweeting a HS girl. The police are now going thru her computer, and we’ll find out soon enough what the exchange was.
As for hope springing eternal, the only one that seems to apply to is you, hoping that this slimeball isn’t hiding anything else salacious. He’s a proven liar on this subject, and I wouldn’t believe anything he says about it going forward.
You’ve got the burden of proof. Cough it up.
Not illegal.
No, it’s pretty obvious that a lot of you are keeping your fingers crossed that he did something really bad.
This is laughable in in its desperation. No. There’s nothing even approaching inappropriate about that.
gasp he uttered a cussword to a [del]child[/del] [del]teenager[/del] young adult ?! ON THE INTERNET ?! She should sue on the PTSD & trauma. That shit is just fucked up.
What is wrong with that quote?
