Mine isn’t. It’s 11 inches, if that. I have small feet – sue me.
I’m wondering, though, whether the average of male feet does come out to somewhere around 12 inches. So measure your feet, and report back (with gender, if you please).
I’m female and large of foot. My left foot is 10 1/8" long and my right foot is 10 1/4" long. I know this right off because I was thinking of ordering some shoes once, and measured my feet so I’d know what size to get, as their sizing scheme was not one I was used to.

Never measured my unshod foot, but my shoes exactly fill a 12"x12" floor tile, so I can fairly accurately heel-and-toe a distance measurement. Size 9 in some shoes, 9 1/2 in others.
My right foot (while wearing a shoe, as I am not about to take off my shoe here in the office) is 10".

UK size 7, just over 10". But I make up for it in breadth, and often need bigger shoes as a result. Derive innuendo at will.

I’m male. My feet are just a hair over 12". They’re my second-largest extremity.
I where a 10 1/2 which one site said translates to 10.81 inches.
UK male size 12 or 13 (depending on brand of shoe), about 11.5 inches according to a conversion site.
About twelve inches? I don’t know. Every time I put my foot up and take a tape measure to it, my chair starts to spin around and I lose my balance.

Hmm, my feet are, I measure, 10.5" long at the most, but I take at least a size 10 (that’s UK size, roughly size 11 on the US scale, I think). How on earth can you squeeze those feet into size 7 shoes?

According to the Internet, my feet are probably about 10" long… though I know there’s nearly half a shoe-size difference between my left and my right foot. I don’t have a ruler nearby, though.
