and the official response to that is- Hey, fuck 'em if they CAN take a joke!
Of course, then he’d be trying to sell them insurance half the time, or telling the kids they need to save the town from terrorists.
Since it’s Matt and Trey’s show I can see them doing all kinds of vengeful things. Since the character of Chef is theirs and Hayes just lent his voice the possibilities are endless. People will still associate Chef to Hayes even without a voice. The could have Chef become a scientologist and take a vow of silence and start molesting or poisoning the school kids. Or he could get larengitis and start speaking in a whisper. Or lose his vocal cords like Ned and talk with one of those vibrating things. All while making himself the most hated man in Southpark.
Well, Major League Baseball has all those spy satellites…
I was wondering when somoene would make a baseball joke.

When I worked in a library, we got all kinds of “donations” from all kinds of fringe religious and political groups–Hare Krishnas, Scientologists, Moonies, Mormon missionaries, Neo-Confederates–who were quite eager to have their literature on our shelves. Similarly, we routinely found Xtian tracts stuck inside books on evolution and religious subjects, many of them Chick tracts. A videotape on Wicca kept mysteriously disappearing no matter how many times it was replaced, and books about atheism likewise had a habit of turning up missing.
I’m just sayin’.

That was his point. All religions are scams. And that was Hubbard’s point as well - he invented the religion to win a bet.
Oh my Xenu, They killed Chef!, you bastards!
Simpsons did it.
Only if he ditches the President Palmer persona and goes with Pedro Serrano instead. Otherwise, just move on with a new character.
That’s on Central, right? I’d never seen that until a few weeks ago when I took a different route to work for some reason, and hey presto, there’s a HUGE SIGN out front announcing what I was looking at. I considered taking a picture, but didn’t want to arouse suspicion.
And I think the new voice of Chef should be Dakota Fanning.
Where do you draw the line between views which can be disagreed with and criticized, and views which “at all times should be respected and honored”? Does it matter if these beliefs and practices are being imposed upon all of us through force of law? Do logic and reason count for anything?
Sure wish Isaac could take a nice, long shit and Hershey squirt that hand out his ass that’s using his mouth like a sock puppet,
Just saying.
I totally support Haye’s leaving SP if it violates his belief.
What is is bad is him claiming it is for general religious tolerance when he didn’t complain about other religious send-ups.
Brian
No no no. The only person who could replace Isaac Hayes as Chef is… Gilbert Gottfried.
That would be okay for one episode as a joke, but I rather not hear him as a regular.
Jim
We, too.
But the LDS guys wanted to trade books with us.
