Isn't there something supposed to happen in Italy next month?

I can’t seem to remember - hmmm - it seemed like there was some event of Olympic proportions scheduled. I haven’t, however, seen the usual hype leading up to this event. Where are te endless commercials? The news reports about locals who carried the torch? Heartwarming tales about how athlete x overcame the heartbreak of ring-around-the-collar to become an even greater curler?

In other words, why no hype about the upcoming winter games? Why is this one different? And what, if anything are you looking forward to?

All I’ve seen is a little blurb on how the best women’s skater, who just won the world competition and has a routine with two triple axels, can’t compete because she’s just a couple months too young.
