How about people who are able to work but are unable to find a job of any sort?
They are lazy, lying bums hoping to cash in on our wildly generous welfare. Duh.
Wait - for this foreigner’s education…your federal politicians are allowed to maintain active involvement in their financial assets?

Well, lack of imagination would certainly explain why Democrats are stuck in a deep ideological rut.
Mine wasn’t good. But it was better.
Naw. You need to get over the idea that your adolescent sneering is witty.
Eat your heart out.
Yeah, spooky, right? Here’s something else, corporations can back political candidates on the grounds that ‘it’s free speech’. Man, I tell you, Al Capone would be seriously impressed with how well the mob bosses called “corporate execs” are running the country.
Its probably not much. He could, for instance, be in one of those investment funds that put money into two likely but mutually exclusive outcomes, and bet on both. No money is lost, none made, but the point is stability, not profit.
Wow. If things like this were more generally known, would Americans finally come to their senses?
ETA: Regarding “He could, for instance, be in one of those investment funds that put money into two likely but mutually exclusive outcomes, and bet on both”. My Edit window will close before I can find the fund’s report, but this comment is wildly unlikely given just the name of the fund:

The Repubs raised the debt ceiling 7 times when Bush was president. Now it suddenly is wrong to do it . It would not be because trashing the system for a while might harm the Dems, could it? It is a dangerous game they are threatening to play.
What if they collapse the economy and don’t win the election? Then will they keep it down for 4 more years?
What pricks.
Republicans have been Republicans first and Americans second for a long time now.
I call it institutional inertia . . . imagination can’t get a hearing . . . but, N.B.: The “rut” in this case is the center-right neoliberal DLC-DINO wing (Obama included), and nothing further left than that.
No. It’s Obama that wants the economy to collapse, so that he can come galloping to the rescue with more big government spending.
It’s worked so well for us already…

For a while. then they lose their homes and live in our luxuriant streets and parks.
Exchange Politicians for (Republicans) and I’d wholeheartedly agree with you.
I’m sure many will argue the validity of my post though.
No it’s Republicans. The rich thrive when the Dems are in and business is good. But the top Repubs have a different vision of America. They want to kill anything that might cost them money . They want to gut safety nets and gouge the people out of their homes and wealth. It is an America designed and developed to make the rich masters of the country and perhaps the world. They use the patriotism and religion of the people against them. They are just tools for control. The Tea Baggers have fallen for it 100 percent.
Which case was that?
I think conservatives want others to understand their point of view, so I’ll give it a shot:
@ Clothahump - Is that your honest opinion, or just playful snark?
