So does “pre-cancerous” in the breast mean DCIS or something else? Am I reading correctly that the area is large enough or the position is such that a mastectomy is being recommended?

Not really sure yet. Have yet to see the boob surgeon. The wording used by my GYN in discussing the results were ‘suspicious and dangerous cross-scaring that should be removed’ before it causes real trouble. Or something close. Look, I’m a porn star, not a doctor. In my mind, that’s a lumpectomy type surgery.

Also thinking that the uterus shit cannot be so bad since my first appointment with the GYN oncologist is Oct 22. It can’t be that urgent if the office schedules the appointment 2 months away, right?

Sounds like. When you get the lowdown from the breast surgeon, breastcancer.org has good resources and a useful message board.

I’d think so, and it might be worth a call to ask if the GYN oncologist is comfortable with this scheduling.

If it helps, I had an aunt who had her pre-cancerous lady parts removed in her 20’s. Even with 1950’s medicine, they did a good job. She remained cancer-free until her late 70’s. Then she went into remission and wound up dying 15 years later of something other than cancer. So… maybe your results will be just as good.

Ouch! I’d say you have tits of titanium just for enduring all that bullshit with your sanity intact! I had one of those hell cysts luckily (?) it was in my armpit so it was a loooooooooot less embarrassing!

My sister had one on her chest, and all the doctors were shocked at how it would.not.clear.up.

I’ve only had one MRI, and it was on my foot (benign tumor on the side – I was super lucky), so it’s probably the best MRI you could probably get. It was just so booooooooooooring.

I’ll take boring over your excitement any day. Good thoughts going out to you.

OMG I am so sorry you had such a terrible summer. Here’s hoping for a better autumn for sure. But you seem to have a great attitude through all this suckitude so stay strong.

As to the flesh-eating bacteria, I thought that was something you either picked up in the hospital or swimming in the canals in Venice. Or maybe it was Florida.

“Pre-cancerous”…you know, you would think that in these enlightened times there would be at least one class in medical school on how to speak to patients without freaking them the hell out. I had a very ugly mole removed from my stomach when I was in junior high; when I went back to the dermatologist to get the results, he said the cells were “extremely active.” That scared the hell out of me, mainly because he didn’t explain what “extremely active” means for a mole.

I was under the impression that ‘flesh-eating’ bacteria can pretty much be picked up anywhere. This year, I have heard of a lot of cases being picked up after a trip to the beach though.

Best wishes for all of your medical issues…and definitely speak up for some kind of sedation for that MRI!

That made me laugh for the first time this weekend (unless you really are and now im pondering lol )

and as someone who has a ton of test every time I go into the doctor, I can say if they scheduled an appointment that far away the results are either going to be negative or "something we need to get to at some point "

If its something life-threatening or serious you’ll get a call to come in sooner

as for the doctors scaring you … I had a nice experience years ago …Ok my livers somewhat messed up due to a lot of medicine and well occasionally excessive drinking which wasn’t the cause but it didn’t help my MD at the time knew this and ran test occasionally to make sure it wasn’t life-threatening

Well I totally ripped off my big toenail on the left side and well it got a fungus in it so I was sent to a foot doc and he wanted me to take a pill for a while …but he had me take a test to see if my liver could handle it… And when the results came back he literally had a cow saying " you have the worst levels I’ve ever seen " taking this would kill you …called my doctor and went through a whole rigamarole … panicked my relatives and caused a headache for me all weekend

So I go to my doctor and he looks at the test and says “meh” there about normal for you what’s the big deal ?

But I dont advise you taking that medicine so I tried some stuff that didnt work …never got it taken care of but for other reasons …
