I woke up at 4.11am this morning when Leechboy finally got to bed and came to the sad realisation that I was not going back to sleep. At 4.38am I gave up all pretense of sleeping and got out of bed. Shortly afterwards Bubbaleechy woke up and demanded breakfast.
With Bub fed, changed and asleep again by 6am I decided to do some laundry and clean the kitchen. At 8am I came to the conclusion that I am insane so I went and took shameless advantage of Leechboy’s early morning pointyness. Yay for morning sex!
Having spent a very industrious few hours I decided to put on my fav PJ’s (bright yellow flannel with white cats) and my fav socks (lime green) and do nothing at all for the rest of the day.
Dad is arriving for a visit tomorrow - he will be here for a whole week and I really should clean the house in honour of his arrival. But I am going to exploit the fact its only be three weeks since having a baby (via C.Section) and use that as an excuse not to do any more cleaning.
Mmmm lazy day, movies, chocolate, hot tea, vegemite and toast but best of all I don’t have to get out of my PJ’s until tomorrow morning.
Oh yeah? I wore nothing but a pair of underwear until about 1pm today. Err, but I did eventually get showered and get dressed and run errands, so I guess you’ve still got me beat. Never mind.
Aren’t lazy days GREAT? I had a lazy morning and it was beautiful. It wasn’t until 1 pm when my friend pulled into my driveway that I threw on jeans and a T-shirt.
Yay for working at home. I sit around in my PJs all day (which are covered in paint) and feel guilty about not getting any work done. The only way I can relax like that is to go out of town and get a hotel.
Lazy days? Pajamas at 11 AM? Hell, my whole week has been getting up at noon (or later), and usually only wearing pajama pants and a white t-shirt. Ahh…the joys of being on summer vacation and not having a job yet. I do shower (though honestly, seeing as I have nothing to do but laze around the house, it’s only once every other day, on average.)
Of course, come june, when my job starts, this non-stop fun will end. (I’m actually boared as Hell and looking forward to a job, and it should be fun, too! I’m doing research at the University!)
I work at home (for now, anyway) and I don’t get out of bed on a workday until 9:00 or 9:30. Then I don’t even have to get dressed unless I want to leave the apartment at some point. On weekends, I sleep 'til noon or 1:00pm. God, I love sleep! Sweet, sweet sleep! The life of a single guy - it’s good sometimes.
Once on a camping trip where we met the tail end of Hurricance Charlie (yes, many years ago), somehow, my proper clothes were too wet, but when we gave up on trying to cook and went to local pub (bar) for the promise of music and food as well as beer) the best thing to wear seemed to be my pyjama things. They were not really pyjamas, but a sort of cotton leisure sweat suit sort of thing, but I did vaguely feel as though there was a badge on my head, saying “this one might be a weirdo, she is wearing last night’s pyjamas to go out in public”.
Fun, anyway, and easier way to eat than fighting with our recalcitrant little camping gas thingy.
Then we all went to bed and spent another night getting up every 30 mins to re-erect the damn tent.
Don’t feel bad, I’m in my P.j’s as we speak. And I don’t plan on changing soon. I’ts the weekend and I plan on staying in them till the afternoon. Though many a Saturday has seen me in P.j’s from morning til night.
Who cares, P.j’s rock and if we weren’t meant to laze around in them they wouldn’t have made them so bloody comfortable!!
Lazy days are the best… I had one today, after a really cool night out last night, I somehow woke at 9am, dont ask me how when I’d only got to bed at 5, anyway got up at nine, lay there and wacthed two movies, Dirty Dancing and Coyote ugly, then decided I was to tired and slept from 1pm until 4pm, where I then got up and got dressed and did stuff… Gotta love these days…
On another note, youve just had a baby, by C.section at that, take advantage of that fact and relax over the next week now that both your dad and your partner are around :D:D
have fun!
I finally got into some real clothes - only to have Bub throw up all over them. So it’s back to my PJ’s again. I love Saturdays, and with dad here I don’t even have to get off the couch. Yay!
Have you ever seen the Jeeves & Wooster episode “The Full House”?
Rocky Todd stated very loudly that he never gets out of his pyjamas before 5 PM, and then all he does is put a sweater on over them. Upon hearing this, Jeeves collapses onto a rock and starts crying.
That’s one of my favorite episodes from that series.
