Eh, Guinastasia, did you get a ‘ding’ sound when you plug in the MP3 player? Do you get a “USB Device has been detected blah blah blah” message? If not, you may have a power surge on the USB port which makes it unstable. It’s best to get it check out or switch to another port (from another hub). An unstable port of mine fried two portable hard disk.

I’ve got a Sansa too, and I was freaking losing my mind when I was having problems connecting. They do have a firmware update for the View that allows you to switch between MTC (USB plugin) and MSC (treating the player like another drive) mode. And it’s vital that you have SP2.
