Raindrops in the dust are about a half-inch apart. This is the first rain this season.
“Film at eleven.”
Would you rather have snow?
It rained for a good solid ten minutes. I have rarely felt such excitement.
Jealous
You’re welcome to some of mine. We’re at the height of the rainy season and it’s been bucketing down for at least several hours every day, sometimes even all day. It’s getting ready to pour again right now.
I’ll be ready for the dry season when it kicks in in mid December.
It’s so dusty where I live, that when it starts to rain, the drops kick up a little dust, and you get this weird ‘low-hanging fog’ effect till it all gets knocked down.
I awoke to rain this morning. Pitter-pats on the roof of my shipping container. The sidewalks are now clear of dust completely. I suppose it will peter out by sunrise. If this goes on we will have flooding on the streets. Saudi cities are not built with drainage in mind. If it gets bad, fleets of water tanker trucks will appears to take the unwanted water away. Some properties will deploy pumps to move the water from parking lots and whatnot… back onto the streets.
