It is snowing. Blech!

It is snowing. I like the cooler weather, but I hate snow. It shouldn’t be snowing in March. It should be gradually working its way up to some nice spring-like weather. Mid to upper 40s or something like that.

Luckily I have no where I have to be, because I don’t feel like shoveling my driveway.
 No snow!

Ok, Im in the heart of New England, had a host of things to do at work today and am really regretting signing up for a home virtual office which was installed last week. :frowning:

Blizzard in March…lovely.

We’d give anything to have some of that snow out here in eastern Colorado. February and March are supposed to be our snowiest months – so far, nada. It’s so dry out here we’re already seeing “red flag” fire danger days in the southeast corner o the state. That’s something we don’t usually see until July or August.

Khadaji, there’s still more coming your way. I’m south of you, and we’ve got at least 8-9" on the ground with more falling. I think this whole part of the state is closed down.

But this coming weekend, we’re promised temps in the 60s. That’s what I’m waiting for. Bring on the spring, dammit!!!

They’re claiming only up to 3 inches here. But that is more than enough…

It is snowing. Belch!**

uuuuuuurrrrppp. howzat?

as a child I could belch on command, but until now, I never got the command.

The snow this morning was bad enough, that I went to check my office’s inclement weather hotline – and found that I had the wrong phone number.

So I left a message for my boss that I was cashing in a deferred holiday today.

They may be claiming only 3 inches, but it was already up to about 4 in the sideyard here at work in Lancaster city at 10ish.

Ever since the April fools blizzard in '96 or '97 (somewhere around there), I never plan on being clear of snow until mid april.

So early March is still WAY to early to be counting on warming days.

(FTR - I like snow as much as the next guy - but I admit I was looking forward to nicer weather for running and cycling)

No one ever believes me when I tell them there is ALWAYS snow for my birthday! For like 43 years now. My birthday is tomorrow. Why is everyone so surprised? No one ever listens to me.

So it’s your fault?

goes to inventory the torches

It has stopped. Now I have to go and clear the driveway.

It’s a 4x4 day in VA. Had a nice drive to work, snow-covered roads, not hardly any other cars, no idiot tailgaters. I did see some people going way too fast in the other direction though. I think I’ll take the back roads home today.

It is so bright and sunny and blue-skyey here in Ohio that you wouldn’t think it’s so incredibly frigid! It was 57 degrees on Thursday and it’s 12 today! My dogs keep wanting to go out and then they turn right around and say no, ma’am!

It’s absolutely gorgeous in Wisconsin, except for Milwaukee. Apparently they are getting pounded with lake-effect snow to the tune of up to 15 inches. It’s a little chilly here in the low 20’s, but we are supposed to get up in the upper 40’s with rain, so buh bye snow!

Whew - we’re done with shoveling. I know our driveway is longer than 75’, plus I did the sidewalk to the front door, then we had to dig out the fan and the Beetle, since we can only fit 2 cars in the garage.

SIL has gone to work, in the van. Daughter’s Beetle has been freed, and I took her for a drive around the block, since she’s a Florida baby and has never had to drive in snow. Fortunately, the worst she should have to deal with is the quarter mile from our house to the main drag. All the major roads around here are clear, if wet.

My left elbow is killing me. I’m thinking I’ll have a handful of ibuprofen for supper because I expect to be hurtin’.

To quote Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon -* I’m too old for this shit…*

It isn’t the length of my driveway so much (although it is very long) it is the steepness. There were times when I would stand still and slowly drift down the hill because there was simply no traction.

But it is done and I was able to get out and back in.

things are pretty in philly. it is always fun to play septa roulette. round and round the bus goes… where it will stop, nobody knows.

i’m sure it will be very icy tomorrow.

God dammit, stop snowing!!

I’m pretty sure than two feet of snow in one week is in violation of the Geneva conventions.

Oh why did we set the house so far back that we ended up with a driveway an eighth of a mile long? And I’ve been the only one shoveling all winter. I don’t wanna move any more snow, please stop. :frowning:

91 degrees in Tucson today. Sounds nice, but it’s really hot! It was in the 90s last week too and it’s just too early for the weather to get hot.

Normally it’s hot about 8 months a year (and I mean HOT), but this year it didn’t cool down until December and it started getting hot again in February, which would give us 10 months of hot weather.

It’s too much.
