Let this be a lesson to the rest of them. You suck up to Bush at your own peril.
A fatal case of Bush cooties.
We’ll see. It’s very close, so I suspect he will take that as a mandate to run as an independent-- and he’ll probably win.
It’s a myth that he sucks up to Bush, but if makes you feel better to say that Dio, go ahead.
So now he’ll run as an independant and steal votes from both sides of the aisle.
And it looks like McKinney is going down. too. Good news everywhere!
Don’t forget the Greens. He’ll probably vampirize those dudes too.
I was going to say the exact same thing. Fuck the both of 'em.
I didn’t know the votes were owned. Democracy can be a bitch. Whatever Republican runs, he/she won’t have a chance. Not in CT.
AS for the happy-dance many here are going to do over LJ’s loss, well, isn’t there a Chinese proverb or something-- be careful what you wish for? This could be good for the party and it could be bad. It’s very hard to tell at this point.
Frankly, I’d love to see more pols distance themselves from the parties and run as independents. I’d also like wings so I could fly, though…
A better word to use than “probably” is “possibly”. Neither you nor I can predict how the independents in Connecticut will feel in November.
Have you not been reading the GD thread you’ve been posting in?
This one, in case you’re wondering.
Now that pleases me far more than Lieberman’s impending loss. I must say, at least he is not fucking wacko.
Potayto, Potahto.
I think you’re the one not reading. Most of that stuff from Lamant is made fucking up. I’ve been busy debunking it!
It’s closer than I thought it woud be. Are they using Diebold?
The OP is kinda why I seem to lump Dems together. And have for a few years now.Lieberman is not a Bush kiss-ass. He’s just not as hard-core and far-left as Reid and a few even in this thread. I have a habit of lumping all together, as many here lump me together with Rove and Cheney.
I saw John Mccain on Leno last night. Without coming out and saying it, he pretty much rebuked the war in Iraq and how things are being done. He sounded like a moderate that so many here keep calling for. While watching him I thought “What could happen if Lieberman and McCain ran together?” McCain as Prez, of course.
But just as I caught myself humming “Imagine” I realized the hatred and animosity is too prevalent on both sides to even make this a pipe-dream.
Because JL doesn’t have a viceral hatred of Bush, he’s a liability to the Dems. Kind of like how many here hate any GOP candidate because they don’t buy into Reid’s rhetoric part and parcel.
Jesus, politics today seem to be little more than a ball game, with two sides cheering the teams thinking that no matter what happens, there’s another game/title/season to be played.
I’m beginning to think at this rate the whole fucking stadium is crumbling before our eyes and we’re just hoping to be the last team to win the championship before the next season is called off.
A bit rambling, maybe a “moment of clarity”, whatever. I can’t even find an ounce of pleasure in seeing “the enemy” attacking itself.
Nonsense. You’ve been busy pulling candy corn out of thin air.
Of course, my dear. [kiss]
I don’t see you in there rebutting my rebutal. Feel free to do so. Of course you can sit in the pit and throw spit-balls, too. Take your pick, pal.
Based on your post #8 you are saying… well you seem to be saying something. that we are wrong, but we could be right. Yep, that will work.
I like pie.
Total failure of memory seems to follow you still . Very little has been made up.
And that’s the biggest myth of all. Have you actually watched the video of “the kiss”? That was a cynical ploy pulled by Bush. You can see Lieberman reflexively pulling back as Bush grabs hold of him.
Nope, I think **Frank ** like many others did notice how sorry your rebuttal was in the other thread.
There are none so blind as those who will not see.
