It looks like Lieberman is taking it in the shorts in the Ct. Democratic Primary

No, but they could do the next best thing: Refuse to let him into the Democratic Caucus and strip him of all his committee assignments. If he wants to be on any committees, he’d HAVE TO do it under the GOP wing… meaning instead of just being a wolf in sheeps clothing, he’ll be a wolf in wolf’s clothing.

It is because now other Dems will take the lesson that campaigining on an antiwar platform is a winner, and that hurts Bush a lot more than the Pubs gaining, or Lieberman keeping, Connecticut’s Senate seat would help him.

He CAN’T join the GOP; Lord Rovedemort would want to tattoo the Dark Mark on his arm, and as a conservative Jew, he can’t allow that.

What about Libertarian Jews?

Well, I’m not prepared to speak to that, all I know is that he insists upon staying kosh–

Hey, WAIT A MINUTE!

Karl Rove offers help to Lieberman: “The boss wants to help.”

NRSC starts pro-Lieberman/anti-Lamont spam campaign

White House blames extremists for Lieberman’s loss

Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt, guys.

Yeah, that crazy far-left radical, Harry Reid. Why, just look at the guy, you can see that he simply seethes with revolutionary fervor and Trotskyist zeal!

From the link in that blog post.

Just my opinion here, but that just seems like sticking by someone that backs his policies (Lieberman) instead of someone who doesn’t (Lamont).

Do you have any other cites for this? All I saw was a scant paragraph with no source noted.

I have to say that this whole sordid Lieberman thing smacks of “If’n ya ain’t with us, yer agin us.” I have no problem with the voters chucking him if they don’t feel he represents their views. I just don’t see how the guy who sounds like Alf’s dad deserves this much vitriol.

National GOP chair Ken Mehlman refuses to endorse republican candidate over Lieberman.

I read about that too. Too funny. Two bits says that is “clarified” into non-existence within a day or two. No, no, that’s not what he meant, taken out of context, distorted, yadda-blah, yadda-blah. It reeks of opportunism, and it won’t focus-group for shit.

He’ didn’t say it, and if he did say it, he didn’t mean it, and if he did mean it, he didn’t say it.

I blame video games.

I think ol’ Laura needs to give up the pink Real Soon Now before Bush gets so horny he tries to dry hump Nancy Pelosi.

I am not at all convinced that the anti-war platform is a winner, but I do think that supporting an open ended military committment to Iraq is a loser. Frankly, I don’t see why we need to be there in full force anymore.

Republican Mike McGavick, challenger for the Senate seat held by Democrat Maria Cantwell here in Washington State, went one step further: he has actively endorsed Lieberman’s independent bid, choosing him over Alan Schlesinger, the official Republican candidate in Connecticut.

Man, that’s gotta hurt! Kicked to the curb and then shoved under the bus!
