Such a relief after a few sunny days of 16C weather (60F) to be back to negative temperatures and snow. So glad!!! Was worried it would be all springtime and blossoming stuff. Hope my plants pull through this fourth wave of nice days followed by the dregs of winter.
It’s snowing down here in Northern Arkansas, too. It genuinely surprised me seeing it, as it’s been so warm lately, getting up in the 70s °F (20-25°C). It dropped to the 50s (10-15°C) yesterday, and is down to the upper 30s (c. 3°C) right now. But it’s warm enough in the house that I hadn’t noticed, and so was quite surprised. We just barely have a single space heater on (for the dog who gets cold).
Colorado mountains here. Came back from visit to PA to visit Wifes family to 18 inches of heavy wet snow. Could not make it up drive. Had to walk it and then plow to get car home.
We’re expecting 5cm overnight. Grrr!
I covered my strawberry patch before hit hit, fingers crossed!
Possibly up to 5" tonight, followed by the dreaded Lake Effect. But my swath of white daffodils will be holding their own. Supposedly it’ll be warming up next week.
It snowed pretty hard for a little while today. The trees were white and lacy… and then it melted. That’s the kind of snow I like: the kind that looks pretty for like two hours and then goes away.
Exactly how I felt about our snow, but then my roomie lets me pee indoors.
[adorable puppy BTW]
It’s a ducking winter wonderland.
Snowing in Montreal too. Ten days ago, it was 25C here. But the total amount is predicted to be 2 cm, under an inch.
Just a dusting of snow here this morning. Most of it is gone. And yes, we had T-shirt summer weather just a few days ago. But I was glad that it was cold again – it has its conveniences. I had a big casserole dish of leftover pasta that I put out in the garage to cool last night. Naturally, I forgot about it until morning, but when I saw the snow outside I knew that it would be fine.
We have an inch in Central Indiana. A couple of days ago it was 70.
It feels weird to see the fresh Spring leaves weighed down by snow. I’m in DDO. The temperature is warming up, -1 C now, and the street is clear.
I’m on hiatus from FB, and managed to remember my username in here. How I missed the old message board days, glad to be back.
I swear it snowed for like an hour here and somehow, in Wisconsin, we’ve forgotten how to drive. This is typically what our corner of the state looks like after the first snowfall of Winter/late fall. Apparently, we only have to go without snow for a month or two before we forget how to do it.
We got about 4" with a high today of only 38. More “lake effect” through tomorrow morning.
