Well, the Snakes lost today. Crap. But my boy did get in a fight, which he won - I don’t mind a good fight but I hate seeing blood shed - I don’t want anyone to really get hurt. The other kid had blood all down the front of his jersey. We did ok the first two periods but the guys came out really flat in the third. Oh well - the season is young.
The tailgate was fun - grilled hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixins. Good company and lots of laughs, which is why I love the BC. But that was a long time ago and I need to go forage for something to eat.
I joined the Canes booster club, in an attempt to have a meatspace life.
I don’t know what the Booster Club for a NHL team will be like - I’m sure you won’t be raising money to furnish apartments like we do! I hope you have as much fun in yours as I do in mine; we have a great group of people and I’ve made some really good friends through the BC.
Nope, they raise money for charity and youth hockey leagues(on the frozen ponds of Eastern North Carolina). That and get together to watch away games.
We do the away game thing, too - and the BC usually organizes a couple of road trips during the season. Last night we couldn’t get the internet feed (grrrrrrr) so we sat around my friend’s den learning how to make fart noises using a drinking straw and an armpit. I am afraid part of said lesson was captured on video and we are awaiting blackmail demands.
Evening. Work is over, the icing was yummy, and I had a bacon cheeseburger for dinner, in reaction to a magazine article about people who do extreme calorie restriction. I felt like I should gain some weight on their behalf. Six feet tall and 115 pounds? Gahh.
Bob, I’m impressed. That was really gross.
We cleaned Bailey’s ears a couple of days ago, and he peed on Mr. Lissar. Defensive peeing. Stupid cat.
