Occurred to me a few nights back and I thought the SDMB would love to field the question.
This thread about suspecting someone of lieing about military service reminded me of it so here goes.
Bin Laden has now been fish shit for 20 years. How many people will be claiming to have been a member of SEAL team 6 that ended him? How many will be claiming that they’re the one that actually pulled the trigger?

Personally I think you’re off by orders of magnitude.
You all are missing the key point in Osama’s life, where he was apprenticed at that PLO training camp for a summer. He had to fix the roof and up there was a woman sunbathing naked. Her name was Ulrike Meinhof and she taught him a few things about western culture that he didn’t forget.
One of them was about western Rock n’ Roll music and it was her fault that he was too busy listening to Black Sabbath to notice those navy seals.
