Did you miss the part about this being for a motorcycle rally? If you can’t keep up, take notes.
I had a terrible night. Tough falling asleep, impossible staying asleep, wakened around 6 by the dog - it’s gonna be a long day. Add to that a second spot of poison ivy - also on my left leg, this bit just inside and above the knee. And our calamine lotion is so old as to be worthless. So far, I’m able to resist scratching, so maybe I won’t have to buy any more and this will pass. Maybe…
I need to sketch up a holding device for some pots I’m planning to make. **FCD **will build it for me, but I need to give him some dimensions, and I’ll have to math and everything! From wet clay to finished product, there can be as much as 17% shrinkage, so I have to make it oversized to get what I want. And as tired as I am, I don’t know if I can math today.
However, I’m up, fed, and caffeinating. It cooled down a bit last night, so I was able to open the house again. I’ll probably be closing it again before lunch, but I’ll take what I can get.
Is that an echo?? Or spam?? I reported it just in case.
Just realized that three weeks from now will be the last night we’ll be sleeping in this house. One month from now, we’ll be on our way to the Land of Rice-A-Roni.
Looks like spammage was removed - yay! I’m showered, dressed, and we just finished emptying the dishwasher. I’m going to put the deck coating on the shed ramp. Not sure what else to do today. Such is the joy of the idle lifestyle!
Well, that didn’t last long. It’s up to 77 very muggy degrees, so the house is closed and the air is on. We keep the house at 75° in the summer, and we don’t let it get hotter if we can help it so the a/c doesn’t have to work too hard. If it wasn’t so muggy, I’d have the house open.
I just finished putting the first coat on the ramp, and I’m sweating like I ran a marathon. I swear, the back yard feels like a sauna! There’s a load of clothes in the washer and **FCD **is futzing with the camper again. Second coat goes on the ramp about 1:30, so except for hanging out the clothes, I’ve got nothing specific I need to do. I’ll probably help clean the camper when my sweetie finishes the last few things he has to do.
It’s hard to believe I used to run around all day in weather hotter and muggier than this! Kids is stoopit!
Speaking of kids, today is daughter’s last day with students. Her last day in Firday, and she’s got fingers crossed for a call back on the job she’s trying to get.
FCM, have you two thought about a camp stove? A simple two burner stove with a little propane bottle would work quite nicely. We used one all the time while camping. They are not all that expensive.
Well, it’s Wednesday; only two more days after today. It’s so damn hard dragging myself here everyday, but bills gotta be paid, and my husband, son and dogs like to eat.
I suppose I should be productive here at work. I’ve already answered emails and have a spreadsheet open and am working on it. I just don’t feel like doing it, is all.
I haven’t even eaten yet, there is part of a pizza in the fridge calling my name and I still haven’t gotten to it. By the time I do it will be lunch, not breakfast.
The realtor couldn’t open the file I sent yesterday, my friend is having problems on the job and I’m trying to help her with irk computer issues, oaoaso is having a problem with his checking account and I’m the one he calls for help - being that I am the only one he trusts with his money.
Looks like I have found me a new [del]minion[/del] assistant! She passed the tests on the second try which is really, really, really good! Thus I have started the paperirk process. My boss is good with this as I mentioned earlier so this will be no problem. She will be able to start a week from this Moanday which is the start of a pay period. Meanwhile she’ll finish out next week at the place she’s been trainin’ and I shall start the ball rollin’ to put a new program participant there. Even have a good candidate in mind. No flies on da bear!
MOOOOOOM so instead of sittin’ on the river bank fishin’ you’re gonna be runnin’ around in a tube top and cut off jeans? Also, some calamine lotion might not be a bad thing to take on a campin’ trip especially since it would appear you are a poison ivy magnet.
Ok, lunch is et. Back to irk.
ETA: Thanks ruble I’m sure YP and wife appreciate that.
Day off, would have slept later except for getting walked all over by a cat who really wanted her breakfast to be served.
Must handle a Costco run, some time on a library computer, cashing in recyclables, some paperwork, and some online classwork today.
At least my nice new phone case should be waiting in the mailbox by now. Protip: white is probably not an optimal color for a phone case. Hope the blue works out better.
