I know this was yesterday, but Moooom was cookin’ chikin, not geese! Do try to keep up.
I’m having my first proper night shifts yesterday and today. Doin’ site security for a festival set up, but at least I get to sleep at home… It’s 12 hour shifts, but we do get to patrol in a buggy, rather than on foot. Also, there’s really good wildlife, 'cos it’s in a park, which is nice. Doesn’t quite make up for the weird sleep stuff though, especially as I’m pretty sure I have an14 hour day shift on sattiday. Erk.
Just ordered a couple of T shirts from El Rey’s Garage in Venice and Fast & Loud’s Gas Monkey in Dallas. Between the car auctions, shows and Alaska reality shows I can kill a weekend morning like nobody’s bidness. Off to see what Jesse’s Austin Speed Shop has to offer…
swampy, I’m not a poison ivy magnet - really! Normally when working in the yard, I’m scanning everything for the tell-tale leaf shape. This one time, I had a brain fart. Whatcha gonna do??
The camper is set up and clean! The ramp has its second coat, and with luck, we won’t get rain till tomorrow so it has time to cure, altho we’re promised rain overnight, dammit! I should put a canopy over the ramp… not a bad idea, actually.
In a little while, we’ll stow the camper and put it back in the garage. And I’ve got to get the laundry in off the lines and folded. But for the moment, I’m having some lemonade and cooling down a bit. it’s only 81° out there, but the humidity is insane!! And it’s only the first week of June!

My mother cracks me up sometimes, she made the female HFH take her to dinner last night and then gave me the doggie bag for lunch. I said you know if the HFH knows you are giving me this she will have a cow and mom says so who is going to tell her?
So now the leftover pizza will be dinner.
I got my mail mailed, my deposit back from the house that didn’t go through, it has been deposited, my friends computer woes are over and the checking account has been checked. oaoaso needs to get some money in there because the dumbass forgets that he has stuff taken out automatically and that is why he is overdrawn. I had to talk to him about that too, he signed up for some service to check his credit report each month when he could get CreditKarma and CreditSesame for free. He never listens to me.
I need to put my laundry away from yesterday and get stuff ready for tomorrow, get cash together for tolls and parking.
Howdy from da cave! I had to go to one of my sites that’s halfway between da cave and the orifice. When I finished there, twuck automatically turned toward da cave. It’s like twuck has a mind of its own! Anywho here I am.
I have some talapia and grouper which I shall prepare with just a little salt, pepper, butter and lemon juice, wrap and foil and throw on the grill. Peas 'n carrots and Rice-a-Roni (don’t judge me!) shall be the sides. Easy and tasty just like how I like my men.
I am not affected by poison oak or poison ivy which is a good thing. However, now that I have made that a public statement I will be, right?
I do not have a reaction to poison ivy unless I work in the dirt, and I sometimes get it under a ring.
However, Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) and I got into some Virginia Creeper at the five acres, and we both had a horrendous reaction to it.
I had difficulty speaking with Comcast’s outsourced billing department yesterday. If you ask a Pakistani call center guy to speak to someone else, he sends you to someone with a worst accent than he. I eventually pretended to be a New Customer so that I could speak to a local guy and got it cleared up.

Dindin is et. OYKW had to eat and run again to go do some paperirk stuff, poor thing. I sometimes gripe about paperirk but he has waaaaaaaaay too much to deal with IMO. Then again, 'tis the nature of the home health beast I reckon.
Big mess o’rain headed this way. I hope it doesn’t ruin the ramp coating - it’s supposed to be applied at least 24 hours before rain - I didn’t know it was supposed to rain tonight. Oh well, if I have to put another coat on it, I’ve got enough.
I got all of my afghan squares done last night. Now I need to decide how they’re going to go together. I’ll lay them out on the bed, then start sewing them together. Not sure what I’m going to do for the edge finishing. I’m thinking I’ll just use all the small scraps and tie one to another so the edging is random and colorful. That’ll be more interesting than just edging it in black. BORING!!
Forgot to share this tidbit - we’ve got a bird’s nest in one of the windows on the shed. **FCD **spooked the bird this afternoon - we may have babby birdies soon!
I fell asleep this afternoon and was sleeping so hard I didn’t hear the alarm and was late for irk. That’s just what I need when I am already taking time off the next two days for tests.
I’m still sleepy.
I finally finished off the pizza. I saw I got a text from a friend and finally responded to it. She probably wonders why it took so long for me to answer.
The child is graduating tomorrow at six PM. We are scheduled to get rain until late afternoon, and of course everything is outside. Today we got the mass call from the principal asking to not call the school about if the shindig is postponed until they decide tomorrow at noon.
I suspect that the other parents think they might melt if caught out in the rain.
