Didn’t set an alarm last night; woke up at 7:10 so didn’t make it to the office by 7am. 
Was able to get most of the work done that needed to be done before I had to leave for Duck Day. Bought 2 ducks, one green and one purple, then went in the LG room to talk to the Aquatic Supervisor. She added pass to the outdoor pools to my tag for my Silver Sneakers registration. Turned out they weren’t going to send the ducks down the slide for another hour, 20 minutes so I went back to the office and not only was able to complete the work that hadn’t been completed, but I checked the General Ledger to ensure that one of the Subsidiary Ledgers was in agreement. It wasn’t. Investigated and found I had entered an incorrect project number back on 6/16 so I made a correcting entry. Now the SL & GL will be in agreement for FYE 6/30. Received a text from Aquatic Supervisor that the duck launch would happen in 15 minutes so I hustled to clock out and drive back to the aquatic complex.
They’ve been doing Duck Day for 3 or 4 years. They significantly improved it this year. They had duck related crafts for the children. One of the guards encouraged me to make a duck crown. There were coloring sheets, chalk to draw on the cement pool deck. There were quite a few different games that the participants could play. There were some giveaways for the children: sunglasses, flourescent bracelets, beach balls, etc Finally it was time for the ducks to slide down the giant slide then swim (float) across the pool. Much cheering by the crowd. A pink duck won.
I thought she was going to say “oh, that’s Mr. Grohler’s order”.

omgosh, I’m having PTSD. Yesterday my neighborhood was having a garage sale. I thought I was driving down my street carefully on the way to Kroger, about 25mph. All of a sudden I heard a huge shriek. When I looked back, there was a grandfather looking guy who had pulled a youngster back who had started to dart out between 2 parked cars. I think if the gent hadn’t pulled back the child, I would have hit him. 
Really enjoyed the drone show last night. Parked in a place a few blocks away from the park where the viewing was. On the way passed the field where the drones were sitting on the grass. Spoke to the operator. They used 200 drones in the show. The shapes made by the drones related to the history of the country and at least one was for our city. So, as I remember, there was the signing of the declaration of independence with a quill pen, the statue of liberty, US flag with 250th birthday, model T, pinwheeling stars, Rosie the riveter, the US Marines planting the flag on Iwo Jima, ended with the words E Pluribus Unum then Out of Many, One. crowd cheered and clapped.
Received our ballots for the August primary yesterday. I already know who I’m voting for in some of the races but need to do some research on some of the other positions. Hubs left for a golf date with a former neighbor so perhaps I’ll get on that research now.
