Jeez, it’s like Summer outside today. Windows open, birds singing, squirrels scampering…
What’s it like in your neck of the woods?

Snowing here in Portland (Oregon, not Maine). Somewhat unusual, but not exceptionally so.
I used to love when my work had me travel to Cincy in the spring. Spring always seemed to arrive in the Ohio Valley a few weeks before Chicago. Have they put pansies out in the downtown planters yet?
But it’s 64 and raining up here. This time of year, my mantra is that every day we don’t get hammered w/ cold and snow is one day closer to spring! With the sun higher in the sky, any snow is less likely to hang around.
Yesterday the snow cover melted, and I saw daffodils peeking, and snowdrops blooming. YAY! Another winter (almost) survived!
Well dinsdale, Cincy can be a bit weird too. A (2014?) few years ago we had the coldest, snowiest winter on record here, with most of the snow and cold centered around February. Today’s high is a record, and looking at the ten day forecast, there’s not a single high temp forecast for below 45 degrees.
The old joke around here is how it’ll be 80 in February then snow on the Reds opening day. You just never know. But this today? I’ve never seen it this warm this time of year since I moved out here in 1993.
Canada - It’s raining and tomorrow it’s supposed to be about 8 Celsius. Great for now but I dread July and August.
I live about 350 due west of Cincy…and very warm here for February. Really too warm.
atmosphere is unstable. I can sense the T-Storms forming. Just hope there are tornadoes in those storms.
55 here in New Hampshire. Very unseasonal.
Did you by chance mean “No tornadoes”?
72F here in Georgia, with a forecast of 78 by Thursday. This is what I love about GA winters. It will get cols, but rarely for more than a few weeks between respites like this.
At noon, about 35°F and lightly snowing in Seattle.
NE Wisconsin woke to about 1/4" ice on everything with freezing rain falling. Most schools cancelled. I stayed home from work. Thawed by noon and rain/ice expected yet this evening.
Mid-70s here in southern Merrylande today and tomorrow. Windows are open and fresh air is filling the house. I’ll hate to have to close it all up again tomorrow evening. But spring is coming, right??? Right???
Love the current 70-degree temps, but I am for sure worried about playing in my soccer league in Texas when it nears summer. It’ll be heat indexes in the high 90s most games.
Weird weather. On Saturday, it was the high sixties. Been that way for a while. Tulips sprouting, some trees budding…
Come Sunday, it starts snowing about 3pm. Snows off and all most of the night. Monday it’s cold as a Witch’s Tit, and today, too. Forecast is cold and snowy the rest of the week.
And the idiot news people are SHOCKED, acting like this is some kind of freak event, and complaining about how cold it is in the mornings. In February. In the mountains. No, this is the way it is supposed to be! I’m liking it!
Record high at Washington National today as well, and likely another record high tomorrow.
Southern Ontario here…
Today, there was rain. Lots and lots of rain. It was about ten or fifteen degrees (Celsius) above normal, and I saw on the weather report that there were temperatures as high as 17C in some areas. (I know some people who set their houses to that temperature in the winter…)
A foot of snow on Monday night and an all-time low high of 13 on Tuesday. Denver didn’t get a foot of snow, but we got a band of 2" per hour that parked over us for a few hours.
The cold is unusual but not the snow. Extremely warm and dry this winter so far. We needed it here and in the mountains. More snow on tap this week. I wonder if El Nino is breaking up with all the weird weather pretty much everywhere.
It’s been a weird week here, hasn’t it? Warm enough to open the windows last Wednesday, enough snow on Saturday that I had to clear the sidewalk, then 80 degrees yesterday and the same expected today.
About 70F in North Ali-bama, with the high expected to be 77F. 70’s predicted all week, then cooler next week. But my heating bill will hopefully be heading the right way.
Yep. 75° at 1PM and tied with the old record from '53.
I was just looking at yesterday’s temperature; there was a record low three years ago! 5° on 20 Feb 2015.
