It's Alive!-A Bachelor Fridge MMP

Hee, everyone’s making me giggle this morning.

Am up and trying to get inspired for the day… I have training all morning, so it’s a bit hard to get enthused.

Off to make lunch.

GT

Unsweetened tea? Bless your heart.
Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Hockey Select A Seat tonight.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Actually already caffienated. OYKW stayed last night cause I convinced him it’d be easier and that I’d drag all of his stuff from his trip over to his house today for him. The dirty stuff is bein’ washed as I post. Anywho, I made brekkies and he has leftover pizza for lunch. Thus has been my mornin’ so far.

Ruble I got told to quit usin’ my wiles to entice straight men cause it ain’t nice.

Blurf. That is all.

Mornin’. Blurf.

Up, did some grocery shopping, and back home before the rain they’re predicting for today starts. Which means, of course, that it’s not going to rain until late afternoon or evening. At least now I’ve got the whole day to do housework (yeah, like that’ll happen), take a nap, and fill out the new patient forms for tomorrow’s dentist appointment.

I’d like to! But who are you guys? Really?

bobbio, your TPCTPMO people were in my neighborhood last night. We have a backflow preventer. It is a mandatory piece of crap made out of PVC that is supposed to keep contamination from our system out of the city water. It is located under an oak tree right next to the sidewalk because we can’t be trusted to keep from hooking up our sprinkler system (well water) to it for some unnamed reason. If we didn’t have a well, we could have it up next to the house like almost everyone else in the neighborhood. We think some kids were playing around and jumped on it or got pushed into it breaking it off completely some time around 9 last night. The first we knew about it was when our neighbor banged on our front door because there was a geyser going off in the front yard. Mr. Anachi managed to get the water turned off and rigged up a bypass till we can replace it. And, by the way, we get to pay for all this.

Otherwise, Rosie’s sig, y’all.

Tupug

No link, it was from 1990. I’ve looked for it. I have it on VHS, but, being old, I haven’t a clue how to convert it.

I can discribe it: I was wearing an ugly green, V neck sweater with yellow piping, standing in front of a bright yellow building. I had short red hair and I said, “I’ve always used AT&T because it’s always been easy.”

That was YOU???

That would be TVCTPYouO, for the record.

I’m having a blonde moment, which is tough because what hair I have left is salt-and-pepper… You have an inground sprinkler system, fed from a well, and municipal water for the house(?) Unless I’m missing something, and the two water systems are connected elsewhere, why would you NEED a backflow preventer?

Also, a suggestion: Have Mr. Puggy build a doghouse to cover the WOFTAM device to protect it from the [del]vandalous urchins[/del] neighborhood youth.

The two water systems are not connected in any way. Everyone must have one because the city says so. The reason ours must be up by the sidewalk is because we might attempt to hook up our well to the city pipe and cause all kinds of mayhem and chaos. I would not be surprised to see a concrete bunker complete with machine gun ports over the new/repaired backflow preventer in the near future.

Puggy, someone on the city council must be getting kickbacks from the local plumbing supplier(s)…

You sure know how to tempt someone, oh Pretty-Lady-of-the-Western-Reserve.

If you just must have sugar in your tea, hot or cold, the proper way to do it is to cut a small piece of sugar off the cone, place it between your front teeth, and drink said beverage part it. The same trick works well for vodka; especially the cheap and home-made stuff. Or so I read once on a book. Yeah - right ----- a book.

As for me (putting finger in dimple of chin) I’m naturally sweet enough as I am.

I’m just plain old THE BALANCE OF THIS POST HAS BEEN REMOVED FOR REASONS OF NATIONAL SECURITY. NOW PLEASE MOVE ALONG; THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE WORTHWHILE

Crap - I’m not combining replies for crap today.

I feel guilty, like I wished something bad on someone. I didn’t really but I feel bad.

Coworker M gave notice, she was leaving and moving back north. Then her place to stay fell through so she found a new place to live here and decided to stay. Only most of her shifts had been filled. Another coworker, D, was leaving next month and picked up M’s Saturday shift for some extra money before he leaves.

So the manager, B, was talking to me about the scheduling (because I used to do it), she said D didn’t want to give up the shift. L and C are also on the shift, but L is pregnant. I suggested to B that maybe M would be okay just being backup for the next month since L is pregnant and has been feeling sick a lot and may need to call in or may not want to work the full shift. So B was going with that plan.

Then L let her know that she now has to have surgery and will be out two weeks. She needs surgery because they think she has ovarian cancer and they are going to remove her ovary. They found it on her last ultrasound. So here she is pregnant and facing this terrible diagnosis and now I feel a bit guilty for suggesting that she might have to take time off. I know it’s silly, I only suggested she might need a shift or two off because she had been so sick lately, I didn’t wish it on her, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I hoping it’s not cancer and everthing is okay with the baby. Would appreciate additional good thoughts from anyone who can spare them. Thanks.

Coyote just cut out this feelin’ guilty nonsense. You did not wish anything on L. I know it could kinda feel like it but you didn’t. Anywho, vibes and prayers headed her way from south Jawja.

Ruble I could not see the link so I still have my N.O.L and my lust for gentlemen in tact.

I got my car tag today. It occured to me I need to do this within the next couple of weeks and since I thought about it I decided to go ahead. Also, since I was out and all I went to :eek:Wally*World:eek: for a few essentials.

Wile E, don’t feel bad. You didn’t do anything. I can sympathize, though. I had a coworker once who was on midnight shift while I was stuck on second. I hate second. But this coworker taught me everything she did on third shift, and I was able to work the two nights she was off. I was pretty vocal about the fact that I wanted third shift someday.

Someday came about two months later, when we found out she had advanced lung cancer and was put in hospice care. One month later she was gone. Now when I say I want my boss’ job, I qualify that I want it AFTER she moves on to a better position.

It’s rainin’! YAY! I heard boombooms off in the distance. I wish.

Dindin tonight is hamburger steaks with onion gravy, field peas with snaps, rice and bizkits. Ima make a peach cobbler too just cause it happens to be somebody’s favorite and I bought some good 'niller ice cream while I was at :eek:Wally*World:eek:.
