Ya, after you’ve been counting the flowers back in February.
FTD, campbell river.
I swear I think there was more snow on the ground yesterday (Northeastern Ontario) than at any time during the winter.
I feel your pain. The high tomorrow here in my southern Californian town is only 71 F. When will spring arrive, for cryin’ out loud?!
d&r
Flames? Flakes… I was typing on my phone, don’t blame me lol.
Raining here now…
It’s global warming, Dude. What more proof do you need?
Of course it’s snowing. I told people last week I wanted to go to the Tulip Festival this weekend. Why would there be any decent weather?
My apartment is like the Arctic tundra. God but it’s cold.
So why’d you send the shit across the lake? We don’t want it here in NY anymore, either. Pack it up in a crate and fly it to Australia. They’re waiting for it this time of year. :smack:
Here in coastal southern Maine, air temps were in the forties, with 20-30 MPH winds, nice and comfortable to me, I had a relaxing afternoon pulling a shrub out of one of the flowerbeds next to the house with our Kubota 5200 diesel garden tractor (the flowerbed’s being replanted as a culinary herb garden) and then I mowed the lawn
Nice, comfy sweatshirt weather it was, I’m dreading the return of The Heat™
Cold here too, and has been all weekend. Yesterday it was 45 with a wind chill of 36. Today was warmer because the sun was out. But it’s 46 outside now. I’m just south of Chicago.
The wind yesterday was harsh. It felt more like March. The latest I have seen snow here is May 6, 1988–which then became the summer of the drought, so we could still be in for extreme heat this summer. I hope not. I’d rather have this than heat.
Yesterday in Buffalo, 50 mile an hour winds with cold rain. Today, snow. Fuckin’ snow in May!
You people are wusses. I’ve seen it snow as late as June 16th.
Granted, this was at roughly 14,000 in the Rockies.
Tradition has it that when the temperature hits 100° here in Tucson, the ice on the Santa Cruz River will melt. It’s supposed to reach 96° by next weekend. So I guess there’s only one more week of skating.
The morning weather report here says we should see conditions improve through the week–by Friday, it should be sunny and comfortable, at the very least. Dare I even think about gardening and golf next weekend? Don’t want to anger the weather gods…
Are you on the Saint Lawrence? It has been down right cold here in NH all week. 50’s and 40’s at night.
Tell me about it.
I remember as a kid in Calgary getting snow in June or July. I think that over the years it has snowed in every month in Calgary.
you sound upset
Snow today in Reno (39 degrees N, ~4400 ft). Glad I chose “Don’t plant until the snow melts off Peavine” over “Plant on Mother’s Day.”
It’s supposed to snow here tonight, above 7000 feet. Up to six inches, they’re saying. I’m at about 5800. I should be safe, as I’m not planning to drive north through a pass which will get snow if it snows at all.
Percival, nights in the 50s? That’s July and August. That’s not cold. That’s crack the windows and sleep like a baby time.
Yeah, the cool nights here are actually a feature as far as I’m concerned. Sure you have to put on a sweater if you want to hang out outside at night, but your bedroom actually cools off so you can sleep.
