It's Fucking Snowing

Call me when it’s snowing fucking.

White Rabbit, Where do you live? It sounds like the top of Mount Washington? I like it cool too but was just getting used to 70 degree days and wearing shorts.

Damn it, people already pointed out Global Warming. Maybe the cooling trend from the '70s is back?

Colorado mountains here. Very high up.

Our nights are still below freezing, and snow is not at all uncommon. Snowed yesterday. Supposed to snow tomorow.

Still lots of snow in our yard. Couple of feet. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get up the drive without going into 4x4 (and I plow it).

Idaho. In the mountains, a ski town, lovely place. I love the mountains.

It’s very dry here, so that plus that altitude makes for chilly nights. It always surprises the summer tourists.

It was cold in Chicago too, not that cold but…

From The Mary Tyler Moore Show:

…And now back to your regularly scheduled thread

It’s not snowing in Cleveland, but it’s 46 and raining. This is shit.

Ottawa. Isn’t that in Canadia? I thought it always snowed there.

Ha ha. Obvious joke is obvious. I think the most rabid gardeners in the world live in Canada outside of Vancouver and Victoria - we’ve got four months, and it’s like a starter’s pistol goes off - get to the greenhouses and nurseries NOW!

This. Dear God, you take your life in your hands getting in between gardeners and the greenhouses in the spring here. If I heard a news report of some woman knocking down another woman trying to get to the last tomato plant, I would totally, totally believe it.

One to two feet predicted just to my west, in the Colorado foothills. We are expecting one to three inches overnight with it changing back to rain tomorrow. A slight movement of the storm track south of where it is currently predicted and that one to two feet could be in my yard tomorrow morning.

I’ve been keeping my eye on that too Lamar. Looks like it may be a typical upslope storm. My Wife and I live right on top of Hoosier Pass and usually get it regardless if it’s a West or East slope storm.

It’s freezing here in England too. There’s been snow up on the hills in Scotland, and even down here in southern England there was an air frost last night and it’s forecast to get even colder tonight.

I just looked up the maximum temperature today at London City airport and it was 9ºC (48ºF). Nine degrees, in mid-May. Two or three weeks ago it was 21 degrees.

Well that lends some credence to my theory that Iceland’s volcano is responsible for this cooling of the northern hemisphere.

There was more snow here on Saturday (North Bay, Ontario, area) than there was in all of March.

Is this close enough?

4.6", the all-time record for the date. Just another inch or two and the trees and shrubs would have been crushed. As it is, they’re just bent over heavily.

The one good thing is that this caused a cancellation of last night’s Rockies game, which hopefully threw Roy Halliday off his rythym.

Omigod. I feel so horrible for laughing.

I guess in this case Tango Uniform means “tallon’s up”.

Still snowing here. Seven inches Thursday night, and another 4 last night. It melts a bit during the day.

Mud season.

This is a web cam about a mile from my house. Yep. Still snowing.
