It's m'Birthday! Get bizzy!

Okay, this is about as mundane and pointless as anything I can think of, but as of 12:12 CDT, EST, (EIEIO… whichever freaking timezone I’m in now, being in the part of Indiana that does not change time) this morning, I officially turned yet another year older.
And I love it.
Yes, I know. I can’t help it. Instead of thinking, “OMG! Another year has gone!”, I’m thinking, “Damn! Yes! I made it through another year, and the next one looks promising!”

I love celebrating my birthday, and luckily enough, so do my family and friends. I have to be one of the luckiest folks around to have family and friends who love me so, and like to celebrate the anniversary of my entry into this world of ours.

To them, I say, “Thank you, and I love you all very much!”
I hope I never outgrow feeling this way. I have a feeling that’ll happen when I’m not having birthdays any more.
I also want to thank my best friend Master Sparky for the gift of his love and friendship. Sparky, my sweet, you mean more to me than you could ever possibly know.

I now have my very own stapler. I had a black Swingline, but the red one is much better than the Bostich one, and if anyone takes it, well, I have to just … oops, never mind!

Any Dopers having a birthday today? If so, I wish you all the very best of the day! And to all who read this, I hope your day is great, too!

Well, when you’re celebrating your 25th birthday for the tenth time, you’ve definitely got lots to be happy about!
Happy Birthday!
Hope you get lots of good presents!

Yeah! The Earth has circled the Sun once more! You know, I really didn’t think the Earth was going to make it this time, but darnit if it wasn’t the Little Planet That Could all over again.

apologies to the writers of House

No, really, how old you turning this year?

Keapon I get to celebrate my 25th for the first time this year (may 27)

I’ll be celebrating my 25th birthday for the, let’s see… 13th year now. Yep.

If you’re going to calculate that, remember that the 13 years are inclusive!

Thank you very much!

I do know that my dear, sweet husband has some very special things planned for me. He’s had a difficult time keeping it a secret, which tells me an awful lot. He’s also planned a trip for us this weekend, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Things have really started to come around for me this year. The last couple of years have been fairly rough… and, well, I won’t go into it. I’ll just say that I’m discovering new things about me, and that I feel good about myself and the way my life is coming around. I’m getting a second chance with certain aspects of my life, for which I’m beyond thankful… I’m building relationships anew, and this has brought me great joy.

I have a wonderful husband, family and friends that love me, and I love them.

I can’t believe how incredibly blessed I am, and I guess I’m really feeling it today.

Thanks for listening to me ramble. I love this place. You guys are great.

I have trouble counting that high.

Just kidding! Happy birthday!

Happy birthday!

From one Hoosier to another, happy 37th! Hope you’ll be showing your appreciation for this place by posting more – you’ve only hit the Submit Reply button an average of every four or five days since you joined! In contrast, 222 (your count as I clicked Post Reply) represents a slow month for Kythereia, among others. Anyway, I remember getting a couple of cards from you in last year’s SDMB Postcard Exchange, and was recently thinking about how nice it would be to have another round of that. Maybe I’ll take some initiative myself and start one if nobody steps forward in the next few days…

Sternvogel, sweetie, thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I had this big ol’ post all typed up and ready to rock-n’-roll describing my birthday events, when I wiped it out with a mere keystroke. Gah!

As for my post count, what can I say? I feel lucky being a part of this community, and usually I’m just content reading what others have written. There are times, though, that I probably should have posted and I didn’t. I’ll see if I can do something about that. I do have things to say… from time to time.

I was also reading some old threads, and it occurred to me that here we are in the same neck-o-the-woods, and I still haven’t met you. I know there are other Dopers nearby, too. Y’know, we really need to get all of the area Dopers together for a BoilerDopeFest, don’t you think? Karaoke at Cox’s, maybe? Bwahahaha!

And, I’d be all for another SDMB Post Card Exchange. Just say the word.

It’s taken me far too long to respond to Dazz’s post, but I feel like I’m the one who should be celebrating. To know her is to know how beautiful a human being can be, and in a world with so much hate and pain, it’s that much more welcome.

Happy birthday, Dazz. You’re the best.
