It's Moanday So Here Is The New MMP

I used parts of 6 chickens. Where does that score on the kink-o-meter?

Enough filibustering for me. Time to eat. Gaah, I am so dumb about getting trapped on the Dope before breakfast. Gotta stop that.

Blurf. Tis currently 61F. This is all levels of wrong. I even made the dog cut short his morning walk.

I have a bleeping sty on my eyelid I guess. Something has made it very sore. :(. Or is it stye? It is stye.

We are cooking collards, ribs and tater salad today.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Cookie bakeage is done. I’ll be taking 4 large containers to Ocala - Oatmeal, Oatmeal-Raisin, Chocolate Chip, and Snickerdoodles. Plus we have tons leftover for snackage. Yum!

I need to run to Food Lion for some N.O.T. I’m going to make the leftover poke roast for supper and I’ll fry up some N.O.T.s-n-onions the way my sweetie likes 'em. Because I’m nice, dammit! Plus it’ll give me a chance to drop off a couple of checks at the credit union. Multi-tasking!

And it’s not even noon yet!! Go me!

Skyguy take note. Mooommm is infamous for waking up at unholy hours. On the other hand, if questioned closely she also admits to going to bed right about when I’m finally feeling awake. :stuck_out_tongue:

It was 25 or so when I took the dogs out today. I don’t think grass is supposed to crunch. Definitely a hard freeze.

Tomorrow, Pepper pup gets her stitches out and can run amuck again. Tuesday I leave for CA and my back surgery. I’m starting to panic just a little bit about how much there is to do. Eeeeeeeeh.

That’s pegs out at 11.
:cool::smiley:

:dubious:
When I took Gordie out for his long walk this morning, it was 38. Before the windchill.

Deep breath and (((((hugs)))), Sunny.

Butters did you mention your sinus surgery on this thread and I missed it? I saw it on another thread. What did the doctor say?

Yes. I get it in Jan. Just like I knew the left side is plugged up. Polyps, mucus and crap to quote the Dr. He also wants me to see an allergist as most of my problems are caused by allergies. I am not happy about it but it will be nice to breathe again through my nose. And hopefully not stay infected and nearly dead from a common cold.

Good Luck on your back surgery.

Thanks for the well wishes for Wifey y’all. She’s getting better every day.

Who was having back surgery, again? Was it Ruble? Hope it goes well for you.

I hate to be the “me too” guy all the time Butters, but I had/have nasal polyps since my teen years. Didn’t know it until I got out of the Navy and went to a real doctor.
He went up through my nose and cut them out. It was a very uncomfortable few days.
A couple of years later they grew back and he did the same thing again.
The third time he told me he could go in through the roof of my mouth and cut them off further up, and they still might grow back, or I could squirt some stuff up my nose every day and keep them shrunk. The stuff I’m squirting now is fluticasone propianate (glucocorticoid). Costco sells it over the counter as Aller-Flo. You might ask your doctor [del]if Aller-Flo is right for you.[/del] if you might want to use that after you heal up.

I think dinner tonight shall be sketties.

Speaking of cookies: one of the nice young women in Wifey’s office gave her a basket of Mrs. Fields cookies and brownies in honor of her upcoming surgery. I don’t want to tell her this, so I’m telling you. Don’t ever get the brownies. They’re about 90% sugar, with very little taste otherwise. Everything else was too sweet, but had discernible taste. We were very disappointed.

That depends, which parts?
Spent the better part of 4-5 hours outside today; including the 5k race, a walk, & then 5k on snowshoes. I want a I want a nice, long, hot shower. Mebbe I’ll head over to the state sto’ to get some run or butterscotch schnapps & make some hot chocolate to watch the Iggles/Rams.

Havta go thru the pics I took at some point, too.

FCD’s shirts are ironed. He’s happy because his Cowboys won. rah.

Shortly, I will assume the crochet position. Thus endeth my weekend…

Helping wife pack up for her weekly pilgrimage to provide heavenly music for church. Meantime the heathen half of the household had a snack and is thinking about what dinner will be when she returns. Probably slices off a pork roast I made a few days ago plus some fresh tubers & leaves. And well-aged grapes.

Are well-aged grapes raisins, or are they grapes that you forgot to eat before they got squishy?

Bumba given his proclivities for heaving large objects like cannon around, it makes sense that it would be Ruble who would be having back surgery, but no, it’s me. It’s an old problem that likely traces back to competitive horseback riding and/or gymnastics. I had fusion hardware put it, and it didn’t fuse. It went so far as to break. The surgeon is going to try to repair it. If this doesn’t work, he has to do something that sounds like an all day procedure where he goes in through the front and has to move organs around. I’m hoping this works.

I think the ground is starting to freeze. If I wanted this type of weather, I’d have stayed in Missouri. I’m sure TWPTB will get right on that. :stuck_out_tongue:

The Indians almost always lose unless it is a Mel Brooks movie.

I’m guessing liquefied and aged.

Hope I can sleep thru the night - I need a good sleep. Busy week ahead.

Not after reading about rotting grapes and zombies raisins.
:dubious:

The Packers did not lose to the Browns. The Viqueens did lose to the Panthers. Life is good. meatballs baking in the oven ,spaghetti sauce is simmering in the crockpot, I’ll saute some green beans and dinner will be served.

Sunny, probably somewhere in the horror zone between raisins and wine.

Yes, this. Liquified, yeasted, fermented, and aged. AKA wine. Sorry to confuse. I’m still a’larnin’ bout y’alls colorful way’s o speakin’ in this MMP thang.

Here’s hoping as well. Good Zs are awesome. Crappy Zs are … well … crappy.

Sorry if you took my morning post as finger-waggin’ at your wild partying. It was meant informatively, not disapprovingly. It seemed logical to me that poor sleep after a Christmas party just might have had a bit more drinking than one’s ordinary habit. For me this is a bit of a recent revelation; For most of my adult life unless I drank to the point of hangover it didn’t seem to mess up my sleep noticably. And I pretty well gave up hangover-level drinking decades ago. Now it’s a pretty direct and obvious connection: two drinks late = messed up sleep.

No sto’. No shower (yet). My legs would like The Stick but I don’t haz the energy. Pro Tip: They do make less expensive models that are almost as good.

Sunny, he has grapes like I has S’mores…liquified, which I had whilst watching the Iggles win.

Quittin’ time here. Manana is a new day and a new MMP. Hope it’s a good’n for all.

Don’ jwannaaaaaaaa…
