It's Monday, let's begin the MMP

This morning Maintenance T came in and greeted Maintenance M with “Mikemikemikemikemikemike!” He got yelled at for this.

Wait, WHAT? Dammit, my internet goes down for one night and this kind of thing happens.

I’m so glad this batch of elections is over. My local elections weren’t that bad, just mayor and city council, but I was getting sick of hearing about everyone else’s elections.

I just bought $100 worth of spices and seasonings. And an uber pack of TP.

Count, the vampires love me because I bleed easily.

Polycarp’s dead?:frowning:

Still have the heart problem. I imagine it’s a permanent thing.

Had a terrible time in the bus today. I won’t detail what happened, or you’ll all hate me, but it wasn’t pretty at all.

Anyway, I have to go work on stuff.

Still beating, ain’t it? That has to be good for something…

Yeah, but it often will stop beating for a beat, then beat extra hard on the next beat, and then continue on normally until it happens again. It doesn’t hurt, and the doctors I’ve talked to have even said it’s not life-threatening, but it tends to scare me, especially when it happens multiple times at night when I’m trying to sleep.

Howdy from da cave. Glad to be home from T’ville. I feel it was a productive day but I hates that drive. Thus dindin is sto’ bought. Rotissed chikin, green beans, mac ‘n cheese and rolls bought from the deli at Harvey’s Sto’ which is really a Food Kitty. Deal. I’s too tahrd to cook up sump’n. Also, tonight is Evenin’ Prayer over to the church house. Even tho’ I’s tahrd I shall betake myself cause it always makes me feel better.

Midget good to know it’s not life-threatenin’ but still that would be skeery.

doggio I’m proud of you!

Home. Yay. As I pulled into the driveway, I saw a little black pug in the garage with something in her mouth. It was a dead female cardinal. I’m pretty sure she didn’t kill it - she’s not that adept at hunting. And I’m pretty sure she escaped under the side gate - that egress route has been blocked now - so we shall see how it goes.

Supper will be poke chops and succotash and N.O.T.s with chocolate cake for dessert. Easy-peasy.

Sorry to hear about Poly. I met him a few years back - nice guy. This has been a week for sad death news. I may have mentioned that a former coworker died - I found out yesterday that rumors are that he shot himself because his cancer had come back. I didn’t even know he had cancer. :frowning: He was younger than I am and an all-around nice guy. How tragic that he was driven to kill himself. :frowning:

In happier news, um, only 2 work days till the weekend, so there’s that. And next Firday, we’re gonna see Paula Poundstone. And I didn’t have to deal with Missy Prissy today - that’s a big YAY!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Wha? It’s hump daaaaaay already? My daddy always said time started spinning out of control when he got old. He was right.

Bought a pink foo-foo harness and leash for the new dawg on Amazon.com. I really am turning into an old lady but she will look ri-damn-diculous cute for her first vet appointment on Saturday.

Tonight Michaelangelo will be serving up some Baked ziti and Beastballs for Mr. Tupug, and Eggplant Parmesan for me. If I play this right, eventually I can give up cooking altogether.

Various hugs, blurfs, and assorted commiserations to all.

blurf

Arrrrrgggggggghhhhh I know. Daylight saving time is such a bad awful thing.

**Puggy **- where are pics of the new dawg in her foo-foo acoutrements??? <tapping foot impatiently>

Supper was good, if early. We’re turning into those retirees who have supper at 4:30!! OK, it was actually 5, but still, we were hungry early.

Even without the time change, there’s way too much dark this time of year. I can’t imagine what it’s like waaaaaaay up north where they don’t see the sun for huge chunks of time. ugh. It’s not yet 5:30 and it’s pretty dark out already. Do not like!!

Polycarp is gone. I’m going to miss him. :frowning:

Spices, seasonings & TP. I think you have the order right. Good luck with whatever you make.

Veins. Every phlebotomist thinks that there is an easy vein on the back of my hand. Every one is Dead Wrong. insert hurts like hell emoticon

But there is only One thing worse than the “inside of the elbow” arm IV.

That’s when they look at an existing IV thats in and say, “The Medic did this, didn’t he? They always leave 'em loose. Here, let me fix that for you.”

note to self: Its never polite to say, “Jesus Christ Lady! Is that a Needle or a Drain-Snake…???” :smack:

I used to have one good vein on the side of my right arm. Yesterday, the phlebotomist couldn’t find it. She had to put a hot pad on my arm to try to draw out a vein - I guess they retreat when it gets too cold. Luckily, she hit a good one on the first try - it was slow, but she was able to fill two tubes, so that was good.

I’ll not talk about the time it took FIVE STICKS by 2 different people to place an IV - it ended up on the back of my hand. Both arms were black and blue.

And now it’s time to knit! MWAH!!

I’d be a lot happier if this case of the whirlies went away.

Home from Evenin’ Prayer over to the church house. 'Twas a nice service as usual. Once again I was Slackolyte and left the place in one piece. I’d say overall it was a success.

Tomorrow night at the church house there will be a wine and cheese with a silent auction to benefit our Companion Diocese of The Dominican Republic. While I’m glad for this, wine and cheese functions just ain’t my or OYKW’s thang. A bit of consternation was expressed over that fact, but, ya know, I (we) don’t want to drop fifty bucks for tickets to sump’n that we just don’t enjoy. I have, however, donated twenty-five bucks (the price of one ticket) to the cause. That should be enough IMNSHO.

Hope the whirlies go away soon nettie.

Count I’m not afraid of needles but I hate, hate, hate havin’ blood drawn and I have some pretty good veins to choose from.

Puggy we want f-[aaaaaa-bu-lous doggy pics pronto!

And on that note Ima go beddy bye. I’s tahrd!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Thanks, it’s starting to get a bit scary. I’ve had intermittent problems for at least a few weeks now (and we do not have medical insurance or out-of-pocket funds to deal with it, DH being out of work and his unemployment close to running out), but today’s the worst it’s been, with adding nausea on quick movement.

I agree with your position that your donation should be sufficient to benefit the cause.

So. They’re renaming the Charter of Quebec Values to “Charter Affirming The Values Of Secularism And The Religious Neutrality Of The State, As Well As The Equality Of Men And Women, And The Framing Of Accommodation Requests.”
I’m not even making that up. It’s like they tried to shove the entire text of the Charter into the title or something.

In happier news, I finished Chris Hadfield’s book. It was excellent!

Wuss.
They take five from me.
"You have veins like tree trunks!
“Is that good?”

Non-life threatening is good.
Wagner appreciation is good.
You are doing well.
