I tried to take the tack of commenting on how making an otherwise apolitical thread into a political statement was unnecessary elsewhere. I was told to stop commenting that way. So I simply took up the argument that was begun by the OPer. I don’t consider my initial comment to be a personal attack, merely a political statement to counter the one already made.

Actually no, I was not, so you’re simply wrong. And I didn’t intend the dumbass comment to be an insult of the original poster but rather an ironic comment to show the person to whom I was talking how hypocritical he was being. Just as you are being hypocritical by addressing what you consider wrongly to be personal attacks by me but not at all speaking to those who made personal attacks against me.

Really? Wow. If he’s a main character, they’ll have to get Brad Pitt to play him or something. (Brad Pitt doesn’t look the least bit middle eastern, but that’s never stopped Hollywood before.)

Pitts too big for NBC TV movies. They would have to get David Schwimmer or someone from Law & Order or something.

It is impossible to make the comment the OP wanted to make without including political comment. This I would watch! Though, to be true Mary-Kate and Ashley style, they’d have to go shopping as soon as they got back. And a cute boy for them to hook up with.

Actually, it conveyed the same meaning. He was trying to say that not enough was known of the facts of Jessica Lynch’s capture and captivity to make a movie about it. That was his basic point.
